Wordpad has been updated with the Ribbon UI, but it ALSO has the same bug that I noted... and for which cc responded by saying MS did not give "a shit" about Notepad. Same bug is Notepad, Wordpad, Paint, and even the File Explorer: in Tablet Mode the "Restore Down" button is present and not grayed out but it does nothing. -- * OS X / Linux: What is a file? <http://youtu.be/_dMbXGLW9PI> * Mint MATE Trash, Panel, Menu: <http://youtu.be/C0y74FIf7uE> * Mint KDE working with folders: <http://youtu.be/7C9nvniOoE0> * Mint KDE creating files: <http://youtu.be/N7-fZJaJUv8> * Mint KDE help: <http://youtu.be/3ikizUd3sa8> * Mint KDE general navigation: <http://youtu.be/t9y14yZtQuI> * Mint KDE bugs or Easter eggs? <http://youtu.be/CU-whJQvtfA> * Easy on OS X / Hard on Linux: <http://youtu.be/D3BPWANQoIk> * OS / Word Processor Comparison: <http://youtu.be/w6Qcl-w7s5c>

What I know for sure is that Notepad has always opened up text files reliably and WordPad has actually been good enough to open up everything else whether it is .ODT, .DOC or .DOCX. Nope. > Until then, retards who attempt to restore a window in tablet > mode will just have to continue to be surprised that tablet mode acts > like a tablet. The button and menu item should be grayed out. This is obvious. As I said, though, not a show-stopping bug. > Windows 10 is certainly not brain-dead-retard-proof, but > what OS is. * When it was noted that in Tablet / Desktop modes Windows 10 has issues with buttons not working (and not being grayed out) and with buttons that look the same doing substantially different things you made up a story of iOS doing this with Portrait and Landscape modes. You, of course, never backed this. You never backed this claim. Nor will you. It's not a bug. Programs not compiled to use new features of a new OS are not going to be able to use those features. It's common sense.

Right! So you should work on that, too! From our recent discussions the areas you have shown ignorance: * You lied when you said I was the only one having the problem of needing to click three times on the "Task View" button. You made that up, and since then it has been proved others have to as well. * When it was noted that in Tablet / Desktop modes Windows 10 has issues with buttons not working (and not being grayed out) and with buttons that look the same doing substantially different things you made up a story of iOS doing this with Portrait and Landscape modes. You, of course, never backed this. * When shown the "Restore Down" button in Noptepad does not work in Tablet Mode you talked about how MS does not give "a shit" about Notepad. I assumed you were staying on topic but you later claimed you were not (but only after I noted how it also failed in other programs). * You claimed Notepad can only handle files sizes up to 54K, when this has not been true since the version on Windows 98! To your credit, after owl proved otherwise with a video and I pointed you to MS's info on it which showed you were wrong, you admitted to your error, but blamed "Google" for not updating info! In other words, cc, you are doing what you do so often: pretending to be knowledgeable about things you are clearly ignorant about. As far as what you think I am ignorance or dishonest about... whatever. You do not even know. You are just working to obfuscate your own nonsense. -- * OS X / Linux: What is a file? <http://youtu.be/_dMbXGLW9PI> * Mint MATE Trash, Panel, Menu: <http://youtu.be/C0y74FIf7uE> * Mint KDE working with folders: <http://youtu.be/7C9nvniOoE0> * Mint KDE creating files: <http://youtu.be/N7-fZJaJUv8> * Mint KDE help: <http://youtu.be/3ikizUd3sa8> * Mint KDE general navigation: <http://youtu.be/t9y14yZtQuI> * Mint KDE bugs or Easter eggs? <http://youtu.be/CU-whJQvtfA> * Easy on OS X / Hard on Linux: <http://youtu.be/D3BPWANQoIk> * OS / Word Processor Comparison: <http://youtu.be/w6Qcl-w7s5c>

Try responding again, but this time honestly. Below you just lie. Not
interested in your circus.
The fact Windows 10's "restore down" feature is not grayed out - either the
icon or the menu - is clearly a bug. It is not the way a system should work.
Is it a show-stopper? Of course not!
But to deny it is buggy behavior is silly.
Oh, and just so you know others have found the same bug, here is a link to
help you understand it better:
<http://goo.gl/cqOp2m> [Microsoft]
-----
All seems to be working fine, EXCEPT the Window Restore Down
button. All screens in all programs I have opened so far on My
Microsoft Surface Pro have opened with the window maximized and
will not allow me to re-size them. The Restore Down Button - in
between the minimize and close buttons does nothing. I have tried
Word, Chrome, Adobe AfterFX, Excel, and most annoyingly Outlook
where if you open a message, it maximizes and you cannot make it
smaller.
-----
Lots of people noting this is how it works in Tablet mode... and others
noting how it is confusing and a problem for them, too. The button should be
grayed out (and the related menu item).
