A challenge for windrones and appiltards
----------------------------------------

1. Use Linux and tell us how it went.

2. If you have nothing interesting to say, its a certainty
that retardation has got the better of you from
using dummbed down OS and for that reason you
probably need money and you are are here trolling.

3. The alternative is to take the challenge and
pull socks up and use Linux day and night
until you are proficient and get a day job.

Sounds fair to you?

Here lots of free Linux distros to start your adventure:

Most applications didn't work properly, screen tearing, wouldn't shut
down, wouldn't wake from sleep.

Says the guy who wrote "dummbed."

Heh, the advocates have a lot more crazy, shitty, and really nasty
material from wackjobs and k00ks like "DFS".

I'm still waiting for Windows to be ready for the desktop, by the way.

Heh, yesterday, I heard a couple of tech writers moaning because
one of their clients, get this, actually *edited* the Word document
they were working on, and boogered it up.

That's some productivity tool, that Word... apparently only experts
can use it :-D

Trolls accuse others of what the trolls are guilty of. That's what
they do. It sometimes accomplishes their goal of being annoying, but
it's mostly pathetic, and admittedly somewhat fascinating to watch
them constantly make public jackasses of themselves.

Take DumFSck - spews the most idiotic shite imaginable, absolutely
*embarrassingly* wrong stuff that proves beyond a doubt that he is a
dumbshit, has it rubbed in has face, and then says shit like the
above, as if no one has noticed.

What else does Micro$oft have to do, beside fsck-up software that, for
most people, worked plenty-well 20 years ago? It's not as if M$ is on
the cutting edge of technology - they are computing equivalent of a
buggy-whip manufacturer, slowly declining into irrelevance.

Keep supplying your employer and household new versions of Windows and
Office.

duh!

Says Linux idiots - for 20 years straight, while MS stays on top of the
OS game, and shows revenue growth for nearly every one of those 20 years.

You're a moron, turd.

giggle!

75 million normal people think Windows 10 is ready for the desktop just
a month after release, but one Linux puss doesn't?

"Marti, we don't care about Microsoft and its products here."
Chris "Little Beaver" Ahlstrom, Oct 2013

At least the "experts" little wrists and nerves don't hurt...

"Word forces you to make the same editing movements over and over and
over and over and over, until your wrists hurt and your nerves are on
edge from trying to move the mouse with pinpoint accuracy.", Creepy, Oct
2004

You need to ask for hazardous duty pay, girlie-man. QA and
documentation work using MS Word is too tough for you.

I want to assure everyone that Microsoft is crying, profusely, at the
fact that Linux losers who can't afford soap or toilet paper weren't
willing to install Windows 10 over the 7 or 8 license they can't afford
either.

Funny then how he gets any work done. But he'll claim he uses linux to
solve windows problems. LOL!!!

What an amazing display of indirection and ad hominem.

"spike1" was, of course, completely correct. In fact, it was common
knowledge _in the 90's_ that both heterogeneous computing and networking
are much more resilient than homogeneous computing and networking. One
incident where this became a serious issue was the "Slammer" worm:

   http://www.giac.org/paper/gsec/3091/ms-sql-slammer-sapphire-worm/105136

Obquote:

 _ _ _ _ _ _ _
On Saturday, January 25, 2003 the Slammer Worm, also known as Sapphire,
and SQL Hell began to spread across the internet infecting more than 90
percent of the vulnerable systems within 10 minutes and took many small
networks offline with its scanning. Spreading hundreds of times faster
than any other worm Slammer was ruthless and quick. It is a self
propagating worm. It would locate a vulnerable system, infect it and than
the infected system would begin to propagate. Slammer was doubling in
size every 8.5 seconds and within 3 minutes it had scanned approximately
55 million IP addresses per second causing disruption of the internet
[8]. It infected more than 75,000 hosts. This worm takes advantage of the
buffer overflow vulnerability in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Microsoft
SQL Server Desktop Engine 2000 (MSDE). The Microsoft SQL Server 2000
Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000) is a database engine built and based on core
SQL Server technology. With support for single and dualprocessor desktop
computers, MSDE 2000 is a storage engine and query processor for desktop
extensions of enterprise applications [13]. The Slammer Worm is known to
be the fastest worm in history. It is important that we understand what
this worm is, it’s history, how is [sic] works, how to identify it, and
the steps to resolve the problems it creates [2] [9].
 _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Reading the description, I don't think this is the worm I'm thinking of,
because 75K hosts sounds low. But it will do.
