The mant eyes method should have gotten together with the many ears 
method and made sure the kernel actually worked before releasing it.
How does a huge bug like this end up getting released?
Even Linux users need to hear the squishing sounds of a good porn movie.

I did manage to fix it.

After the complaints about Windows 10 updates making them miss the bus, 
thought maybe they could chime in about these kind of updates.
