It does seem a bit suspicious. I was having a good raport with him, and all of
a sudden he's hearing voices calling people trolls. I guess I'm not in his list
anymore. Strange behaviour indeed.

Same here.
He's a COLA Cabal sheep member for sure.
Too bad as I will give him credit for eradicating snit.
Something that nobody else has been able to do.

Trolls trying to divert attention. Typical tactic.

Well, sort of. I noticed no further raport, so I'm only guessing that I'm in
your troll filter.

Wrong conclusion.
First I'm not a troll. I present the facts and I will bite back when
attacked. You discovered that Chris.

Second, I used to post in another group many years ago. At least 12 by
my guess. Some posts got x posted to COLA so I do remember some names.
Ken Downs is one of them. Flyer something or other is another one. Peter
I remember.

Third, I've read COLA over the years for a laugh so I've seen some of
the wars especially with snit, flatish++, Roy Schestowitz, Mark Kent and
others. But I wasn't posting then as I was too busy planning my
retirement.

Fourth, your Cabal seems to be under the impression that someone has to
have a long history of COLA posting/reading in order to figure out what
your little Cabal is about.
Completely incorrect.
The COLA Cabal is so transparent that it only takes a week or two of
posting here to see how fucked up you people are.
And some things never changed. This group is as fucked up now as it was
a decade ago. Maybe even worse because back then quality, decent Linux
advocates existed. Ken Downs is one of them. The current status of this
group is a joke. You call yourselves Linux advocates but you aren't
anything close to a Linux advocate. You are just crazy people who want a
food fight. Congratulations, you now have one.

I'm dead serious Chris.

I've never experienced anything like this in any group or blog I have
read or participated in. Even Mac users who are the biggest zealots for
their Apple products don't even come close to what goes on in COLA.

The difference though is that the Apple users tend to stick to the
facts, opinions and reasons why they like Apple and think it is the
best.

They certainly don't attack people, start smear campaigns against
posters who disagree with them, unless the person starts attacking them
first.

Maybe it's true that Apple users are typically higher on the
socioeconmic scale than Linux users who have a reputation of being
hypocritical, unwashed, basement dwelling dweebs.

And it's not just me with this impression. Here is something you can
read while waiting for the latest issue of Mad Magazine to arrive:

"Are the “Open Source” advocates mentally healthy?"

http://hugequestions.com/Eric/Linux/Linux4.html

Extra points for listing how many of these traits the COLA Cabal have.

Like I've said in the past, the "advocates" in this group have done more
to damage any interest people might have in Linux than actually advocate
the poor man's operating system.

My lawyer and most of the successful people I've met along the way were
Mac users.

I've noticed that some of them get chewed to pieces when they try and
post in what would be considered a "serious" Linux group. Their games
and trickery don't work in groups like that. Neither does their poor
Linux skills.

Why would your lawyer and other successful people use slow systems?

Exactly. When people call them out they insist they must be "socks" because
how can anyone figure out their completely transparent lies, absurd
accusations and paranoia, etc. so quickly.

It is insane... they cannot imagine anyone actually has a brain.

There are some Mac users who can be pretty extreme, but, no, I have never
seen any group anywhere near as zealous as this one is for Linux. Even in
the "Cult of Mac" they openly discuss WEAKNESSES of the Mac and other Apple
products. No issue at all with it.

In Linux any issue with Linux is deemed a lie... even when there is video
proof.

Trolls always show their true nature and it never takes long either.
It's like telling a joke. They just can't wait to get to the punchline
and often ruin the timing because they are so overly excited to get to
the punchline. It's like watching a cat playing with a stupid mouse. The
mouse only briefly thinks he's getting away. He never gets away. The cat
won't allow it.

Only when attacked and provoked, like the Cabal did to me.
Sorry, but it's all there in Google and it's common knowledge that this
is the way the COLA Cabal operates.

Wasn't Greycloud once a Linux advocate?
I'm not sure what happened to make him switch sides, but I vaguely
remember him being a Linux advocate at one time.

It seems the COLA Cabal attacks greycloud these days.
So what happened?

The only way you could know that is if you kept close tabs on cola for
some years, and 'Jim Polaski' is a brand new nym.

Is that you, Flattie?

Or is this 'tomas', among a dozen other nyms?

Nope. I am who I say I am, Jim.
I used to post here many years ago under a different nym so I did
remember the name greycloud and that he was a Native American and
from my memory, I thought he was a Linux advocate.
I was an Apple and Windows user back then so I remember well how they
would attack us.

Recently I was looking for a greycloud post and checked his posting
history from Google and noticed it went back a long way so I assumed it
was the same person, but I'm not sure.
