Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit boots in 40 seconds from USB stick!!! --------------------------------------------------------- Wow! Tryng ou the new Ubuntu 16.04 release from www.ubuntu.com There was a time when 40 seconds was considered a very short time to boot from an SSD. Now Ubuntu 16.04 Linux is booting 64 bit in 40 seconds from a USB stick!! Internet, audio, video, bluetooth, all connected and configured automatically and working!! What more could you ask? Linux company google has now sunk Appile again in today's trading http://9to5mac.com/2016/05/12/googl-aapl-market-cap/ That will be the 4th time this year. Making google the most valuable company in the world powered by Linux. Time to give up Microshaft and appile across all educational establishments and switch to Linux. It is commercially more important you know what gcc, python, bash, php, apache, mysql, gamas etc is than learn all that outdated and commercially irrelevant gobbledegook from microshat and appile trainers. All the top jobs are now Linux based. All the proprietary software companies are going to the wall and rapidly replaced by open source companies. 2/3rds are now open source companies. Time to seize everything Linux offers and make a living from writing Linux apps, make Linux gadgets and make new Linux distros to conquer the world left empty by vacating appile and microshat trolls and their dead crapware.

On my Del machine originally it was similar kind of problem. Then I noticed somewhere a message about UEFI. All I could think of what is this crap? Any way you must sway with the wind grasshopper to be a rock... So after a few bits of bios setting troubles for UEFI, the thing rang. Why the BIOS just can't run only the captains of crap that make these things can possibly know the answer to.

Sounds like Apple's NIH mentality strikes again.
Of course their version of EFI isn't standard. So there's no telling
what a Mac will do with something that isn't blessed by the mother ship.
