Appil sales plummet 30%
-----------------------

It already has a very small market share
of only about 10% of the global market
for tablets and smartphones, and most of its
customers are in the USA. Now its seems
FBI can open these phones willy nilly and
take all the data. Sales have been plummeting
since the beginning of this year when Google (a Linux company)
was worth more than appil at least twice this
year. Those days are set to return with the
latest news of production cuts of 30% for
the foreseeable future. There is no likelyhood
of a sustained recovery from this abject failure.

With 30% cut in production appil likely valued
far below Google by end of this year,
and probably below Microshaft.

Google's servers run Linux, Google Android runs
on top of Linux. Its all Linux that makes
up Google success.

Miroshaft in turn has decided to ditch all its
Osen and switch to Linux. Windopws 10 is its last osen and all OS
support will be dropped in 9 years time.

Already windopws will run practically everything
found in a Linux computer by microshaft introducing
the Bash Shell. The only thing it doesn't do now
is run Linux kernel itself which give it the
security that microshaft so eagerly lacks.
It will happen some day as micoshaft Azure is Linux
servers, and microshaft has release another Linux
distro to run server related stuff.

The main desktop will eventually all morph into
Linux, and micorshaft will switch to business support
software company model to keep its staff
and to stop OS misadventure bleeding revenue.

That just leaves appil which has a small footprint
in USA. In the great scheme of things, they too
will switch to Linux in order to stop the bleed from
maintaining their own OSen.

So everybody should switch to Linux now and use
it free of charge.

2016 - the year when Linux won the OS wars.

Liar!

Microshaft has.

So has Amazon, Google, Oracle, IBM, NASDAQ, Facebook, Reddit, Netflix,
Dropbox, Rackspace, VMWare, etc,...

Some of them use it, not all have switched to it. I'm sure you'll be

Do keep in mind that Apple is trading 11.67 x earnings while Google is
trading 33.26x earnings. Microsoft is trading a 39.63 x earnings. So if
you have no idea what I am talking about you learn what a P/E ratio and
a PEG ratio are. At this time Apple's valuation is realistic where as
both Google and Microsoft are grossly over valued.

In trading we have a saying... Go away in May. May is often a down
month as is October. You might see some corrections which Apple will
weather easily as their earnings multiple is just fine. But Google and
Microsoft may get clobbered.

Stocks are forward-thinking. When you see an over-valuation it is because
the market sentiment believes they have greater earnings potential in
the future. Now with Google, that's absolutely a healthy attitude seeing
on how they are becoming something of a holdings company fueled by their
massive advertising platform. There is simply no end in sight as to what
Google can earn in the future.

Now, what about Microsoft? Their earnings are not likely to skyrocket at
all. In fact they have lost the mobile market and lost billions despite
collecting a royalty of $1 bn a year from Samsung. They took a massive
$7 bn loss on their Nokia deal which left them with absolutely nothing
of any value at all. That's why it is a write down. Basically they wrote
it off.

Microsoft Azure platform will do well. And office makes money as does
their enterprise businesses. But are those going to grow by leaps and
bounds? I seriously doubt it.

IBM on the other hand with their advanced machine learning and years of
research in Watson and services has a strong future to look forward to.
They're building the next evolution in computing.

Apple has likely peaked in phone and tablet sales. So there is likely no
new market for them to increase in at this time. Hence why the earnings
multiple is so low. Sentiment that Apple will grow is low. They are at
the top already.

The difference between Apple and Microsoft is that Apple's sentiment is
correct and Microsoft's is over valued and due for a correction. And if
Apple can actually build a car they stand a chance of creating another
revenue stream and being seen as having growth ahead of them, thus the
earnings multiplier will grow as well. Again, a big IF there. IF they
announce a car. IF the car has a strong consumer base.

Microsoft is arguably in the weakest position at this time. Companies
like Amazon and Google are playing in markets typically owned by
Microsoft and doing well. Amazon reported that AWS is now making $10 bn
a year. And that's selling Linux related services, similar to what Azure
is now trying to do. Azure is estimated to have crossed the $1 bn mark
and is growing. But at this time AWS is the elephant in the room.

Google and Amazon have incredibly mature data center operations. Azure
is the new guy. And much of the back-end services that power start ups
are all Linux based, use Linux services on the back end and often are
hosted on AWS or clouds provided privately via Linux or by third party
such as Rack Space or Canonical's cloud services, RED HAT, and so many
others.

Microsoft has entered a mature space with established players which
already are many times larger than Microsoft in this space. Hence why
Microsoft has to capitulate and appeal to Linux developers which own
this space. At this time Microsoft holds close to $100 bn in cash. Apple
is holding over $230 bn in cash. Apple is not an enterprise company
though. They sell hardware and absolutely suck at enterprise services.
So either they continue to sell a lot of phones and tablets are they
start to fall in value. Something like 85% of all of Apple's revenue is
tied to iOS related product and services. Only small part comes from
their Macintosh sales.

Yes but most appil's customers are in the US.

I seriously doubt google will get clobbered for any reason.
They are diverse and invest in a lot of technology any one of
which can become another google or android.

Because Azure runs on Linux.

Libre office comes with every Linux.
And most office productivity is coming out of online products (Linux servers
hosting them)

Not by a million mile. The servers are now all Linux.
A stubborn business decision to eliminate microshaft out of any loop.

Which is why they need to switch to Linux and make tons more money.

He's clueless. Most of Apple sales are not from the United States.
That's one of the main complaints the United States government has with
Apple's $230 bn in cash. It's not in the US and has not been taxed in
the US. It is held off shore and Apple refuses to repatriate it because
of the stiff tax burden they will endure. Something like over a 1/3rd.
If Apple wants to bring back $100 Bn, Uncle Sam gets over $33 billion of
it. So Apple earns their money over seas and builds its market presence
in the form of new stores, deals to buy memory, screens, assembly on
foreign soil thus avoiding a huge tax burden in the United States.

Any doubting what I am saying need only read ANY 10Q filing in the last
10 years, they are published quarterly, and you can see the breakdown in
sales by geography. The US is a large market, yes. But it is not even
50%. Most of Apple's revenue and sales are NOT in the United States.

Says a clueless retard.

Most of Appile's sales and customers are in the USA.

Bloomberg analyst when discussing why Google had overtaken
Appil at least twice this year already.

You keep claiming this...

...but you never actually provide any proof.

But I'm a tolerant kind of guy who likes to see the ignorant educated,
so just for you:

"Net Sales by Operating Segment:

Americas 93,864
Europe 50,337
Greater China 58,715
Japan 15,706
Rest of Asia Pacific 15,093
Total net sales 233,715"

So even including all of North and South America, Apple's sales there
are only 40% of its total.

I really don't know what your interpretation means.

Because cost of sales have to be subtracted before a real picture
of where customers are located can be gained.

And the Bloomberg analyst had done all that.

Most of Appil's customers are in the USA.

No. Actually. Sales represents what CUSTOMERS have paid.

Taking out the cost of sales gives you what the company made from those
customers.

Typical Linux-advocating moron. Even when presented hard evidence he was wrong he continues to spew his BS without providing one element of fact himself.

Which means nothing if crossing continents.

In UK, it would mean divide by 2, in Japan divide by 4
if translating to equivalent of US customers.

That would imply most of the customers of Appil are in the USA
which is what the Bloomberg analyst said.

Why would it mean that?

Can you demonstrate that Apple products cost twice as much in the UK?

So you must de-rate foreign sales by 20% to 30% and suddenly most
of appils customers are in the USA.
