You don't have to take our word for it.
Linux has been the Oracle reference platform for years and is well
like by all of the largest companies on the planet.
Whatever cushy modern lifestyle you have, you probably owe to Linux.

You can snicker all you like about the "desktop" but for anything else
beyond that Linux dominates or is one of the top contenders.

I repeatedly welcome them to show tasks they think are done better on Linux. Heck, even when Owl picked a task he thought would make Linux look good, I showed it was done on OS X so well he and Peter insisted I had to be "doctoring" my videos. It was hilarious. No need; since LGX is freely available (legally!) in many assorted flavours, you can try it yourself. You could even run it in a VM if you don't want to run a dual boot or dedicated system. Really, your complaint is about like "You claim that cooking meat is better, but you can't show me... and I won't try it myself, neener, neener." Not sure what you're trying to accomplish, other than advertise a preference for self-imposed ignorance, but hey, whatever floats your goat.

Obviously, you don't. If you're actually using it, as a significant portion of your computing experience, then it must be better at *something*, or you wouldn't be doing so. "It is not better in ANY WAY... which is why I continue to use it" is not particularly believable. Care to try again, or just admit you're a lying sack of shit?

Bingo! -- Debian Hint #23: If your system is using too much disk space, try the deborphan package; it can offer suggestions about which packages may be unused and removable. And, of course, don't forget to clean out the APT cache area (using 'apt-get clean', 'aptitude clean', or aptitude's Action -> Clean package cache menu item).

Kelsey Bjarnason just entered my "Nyms to Avoid" list. GNU/Open_Source/Communism is good, of course, but that doesn't mean that MicroSoft/capitalism is evil; you need both, it's not "one or the other". He wants to host a thousand websites on his home PC, serving 100 thousand connections, while ripping DVDs ? ! He failed to understand Lloyd Parsons' _clear_ explanation of why his ChromeBook can switch to Linux. Bottom line: Kelsey is all kinds of fucked up.
