I think what you mean to say is Microsoft is not primarily a hardware 
company, in that the bulk of their revenue and profits come from 
software and services, not hardware.

Your point being? Most people don't understand how to interpret
Microsoft's privacy policy. My link was posted to help them in
understanding what is meant and in realizing that a lot of the privacy
advocate who see Windows 10 as being unethical are incorrect.
