Debian 9 will always be called "Sid" for you? Are you a moron?

Since he's using Sid, he essentially has a rolling distribution, albeit
a ridiculous unstable one (regardless of what he claims).

Of course. But Debian 9 will go stable. Debian 10 will go stable. Etc.
Unstable will always be Sid. But for Chris Ahlstrom, Debian 9 will always
be "Sid," presumably long after it and its successors have gone stable.
For Chris Ahlstrom, when the world is on Debian 23, somebody will say,
"Hey, you remember Debian 9?" Little Beaver will go, "Oh yeah, Sid
was my favorite." He's an idiot.

Chris Ahlstrom and "bizarre idiot" seem to be synonymous.

Either way though, I don't know how anyone can use Sid. It's nice to be
on the bleeding edge but it's about as dependable as a frail 80 year-old
man with diarrhea. I wouldn't want to have to use that as my primary
operating system.

That's my impression.
There are a few of them lurking.
chrisv
Jeddiah
William Poaster.

I haven't used Debian in years.
Does it still use a curses based text install?
That was one of it's better features at the time when gui install
programs were tripping all over themselves.
SuSE had one as well if I remember correctly.

JEDIDIAH is still sometimes respectable. William Poaster is not. In
fact, the guy deserves to be packed into a trash bag and sent to the
dump. He's about as useful as garbage and smells just as pleasant as a
result of his janitorial career.

I think that the option is still there but its installer has become GUI.

I have to admit that I like text installers myself.

Your life will be complete when you choke out on a Vitamin D pill.

Time for a reality check! 5,000 IU of vitamin D makes for an extremely small pill.

I bet that DooF..uS would enjoy stuffing a few vitamin D pills up his nose.
