What point do you think you are making? That a single hand-picked
example of a black person is representative of... what? The point you
ARE making is you can engage in confirmation bias... but I suspect you
wanted to make another point.

Meanwhile I show actual evidence. Here is more for you (though I know
you will not learn from it):

http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0141854
——
The results provide evidence of a significant bias in the killing of
unarmed black Americans relative to unarmed white Americans, in that the
probability of being {black, unarmed, and shot by police} is about 3.49
times the probability of being {white, unarmed, and shot by police} on
average. Furthermore, the results of multi-level modeling show that
there exists significant heterogeneity across counties in the extent of
racial bias in police shootings, with some counties showing relative
risk ratios of 20 to 1 or more. Finally, analysis of police shooting
data as a function of county-level predictors suggests that racial bias
in police shootings is most likely to emerge in police departments in
larger metropolitan counties with low median incomes and a sizable
portion of black residents, especially when there is high financial
inequality in that county. There is no relationship between county-level
racial bias in police shootings and crime rates (even race-specific
crime rates), meaning that the racial bias observed in police shootings
in this data set is not explainable as a response to local-level crime
rates.
——

https://www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/post-nation/wp/2016/07/11/arent-more-white-people-than-black-people-killed-by-police-yes-but-no
——
“The only thing that was significant in predicting whether someone shot
and killed by police was unarmed was whether or not they were black. ...
Crime variables did not matter in terms of predicting whether the person
killed was unarmed.”
——

https://chicagopatf.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/PATF_Final_Report_Executive_Summary_4_13_16-1.pdf
——
Moreover, black and Hispanic drivers were searched approximately four
times as often as white drivers, yet CPD’s own data show that contraband
was found on white drivers twice as often as black and Hispanic drivers.
——

https://www.aclu-il.org/en/press-releases/traffic-stop-data-shows-persistent-patterns-racial-bias-according-new-report
——
The data reveals, as an example, that statewide across Illinois, African
American and Latino drivers are nearly twice as likely as white drivers
to be asked during a routine traffic stop for "consent" to have their
car searched. Yet white motorists are 49% more likely than African
American motorists to have contraband discovered during a consent search
by law enforcement, and 56% more likely when compared to Latinos.
——

But, I predict, you will be immune to evidence.

A single, hand-picked example of what I see almost every
time I go to a store. They get no parental supervision,
so it's no surprise when they grow up to be criminals.

The woman tried to make the excuse that if she spanked
the child, she would go to jail. If that is true, who
do you think owns the responsibility for that state of
affairs, liberals or conservatives?

They who?

It is not likely to be true but even if it is, spanking is not the only
way to discipline children.

I absolutely agree that many kids have poor manners and are not being
raised well. My kids have been home schooled most of their school careers.

I get to see first hand how the kids act in schools. There ARE some
"good" ones but FAR too much pushing and shoving and other nonsense. The
kids who push and shove are rewarded for it by getting things where
there is not enough for all -- say a treat in the lunch room (why do
they not have enough for all anyway)?

My kids are repeatedly complimented for their polite behavior at after
school programs, library events, Girl Scouts, etc. I know my wife and I
do not and did not tolerate such behavior (at their age now it is not an
issue). Does not mean my kids never do "bad" things -- of course they
did and still do... they are not perfect, but I am very proud of how
well behaved and how helpful they are to others.

Reading comprehension again...
I was at Walmart just the day before yesterday, and four of five
junior Trayvons are running around the aisles yelling.

A brat who is acting out like that in public needs his butt
set on fire so he suffers not just the minor pain of a spanking,
but also the public humiliation of being put in his place.

But why don't you answer the question? Do you think it's liberals or
conservatives who have pushed for enacting laws against giving good
old-fashioned behind-the-woodshed discipline to unruly brats?

Are you aware of what the research says of best methods to discipline?

What laws do you even mean? Laws against child abuse? I think I have
seen some that I believe go to far but do not know what laws you even mean.

So, this guy got convicted of assault for spanking his own kid,
and it has to go to the state Supreme Court before he gets cleared.

https://www.parentmap.com/article/legal-united-states-spanking-kids
<quote>
The court’s verbiage for the case, which centered around a father who
had been convicted of assault for publicly spanking his young toddler
daughter, was carefully worded, asserting that...
</quote>

one of the comments to that article:
<quote>
Casey Noble
actually, I was told by Child Protective Services DIRECTLY that any form of hitting your child is illegal AT LEAST in the state of Indiana
</quote>

Another from the land of libtards:
<quote>
Massachusetts lawmakers say a proposed measure that would ban parents from
spanking their children, even in their own homes, is a way to protect
kids from abuse. But many parents believe it's an example of government
run amok.

In all 50 states, parents are legally allowed to spank their children. But
in 29 states it's illegal for a teacher to practice corporal punishment,
including spanking.

A Massachusetts nurse is hoping to change that and make the state the
first in the nation to ban corporal punishment at home.

"I think it's ironic that domestic violence applies to everyone except the most vulnerable — children," said Kathleen Wolf, who wrote the bill.

Massachusetts lawmakers will consider the bill today.
</quote>

That was from 2007. Don't know how it came out. But it's easy to see
that the agenda is there. Keep America sane. Vote conservative.

The SJC there handed down a ruling that affirmed parents
may not be found criminally liable for using
“reasonable” force in disciplining their children.
...
Five decades of research made its debut in a study
published in the April 2016 issue of the Journal of
Family Psychology. The verdict: The more you spank your
children, the more likely they are to defy you and to
develop issues including anti-social behavior and
cognitive difficulties.

See, you CAN find the research.

Teachers have to put up with your brats six hours a day. They should
be allowed to administer the discipline that is not available in the
typical libtard home.

I doubt she is more than one person. What, really, is your complaint
here... one person did something (maybe, though you cannot show it) that
you disagree with.

So what?

You cannot read, yet you home-school your kids. The law was "assault."
The man was convicted of "assault" for spanking his own child.
The "actions that happened" were that he had to appeal to the state
Supreme Court in order to get the conviction overturned.

the state house for a vote.

Who says? You? That is the case today (thanks, libtards), but for
decades schools were allowed to spank kids. In my junior high, the
principal had a big wooden paddle that all the kids were afraid of.
And as a result we didn't have any savages rampaging in the classrooms
like we do today.

I'm sure that the child is overjoyed at the knowledge that he will
likely get to live without his father for a period of time. I'm sure
that not having a father around is much better for the child's
development than having a father who occasionally smacks you when
you're being a twit.

It doesn't matter how often you state it; it a fact disagrees with
anything Michael Glasser believes, it simply cannot be seen. He has
trained his brain into selectively disappearing inconvenient
realities. He'll make an excellent Winston Smith.

In my first teaching experience back in 2004, our principal was a guy
who had never taught a day in his life. Before admistering for the
school, he was a psychologist of some sort and felt that every
troubled child or problem could be resolved rationally.

The consequence was that he had no authority whatsoever and the kids
took advantage of him all the time. They would purposely discard their
trash on the floor, even if the garbage can was a foot away from them,
to send a message. They would do it right in front of him too knowing
that there were little more than insignificant consequences for their
actions or none at all.

What law? What bill?

Owl cannot say. He knows he is afraid and he is outraged... but he
cannot say at who or what, so he takes it out on all he considers liberals.

It is raw emotion without thought... and it is what we see in you, too.

A scary thought...

His reading comprehension seems to have gotten worse;
either that or I blocked out how bad it was, maybe some
kind of dissociative amnesia.

Ah, insults. It is what you do when you realize how badly you have
presented yourself. What Owl and Slimer do, too.

Seems all too common with conservatives. Guess that makes sense given
how fear and ignorance based he modern conservative worldview is.

No, it's not amnesia.

Michael Glasser only allows premises that are useful to him.

And what's useful to him is very, -very- different
from what's useful to the rest of us, here.

Sure, but now he's going to 'the bad place' from which he may
never return ;)

What''s useful to him should be under lock and key.

This is where you go... and it was predictable.

You know you made a fool of yourself. Just in the last few days:

* You whined about a black man being shown as an example of healthy
masculinity.

* You lied about me equating things I did not, and otherwise lied about
and twisted what I said.

* In the context of police shootings, you said it made sense to you for
them to have a bias against blacks.

* You showed deep ignorance about the weaknesses of using a single test
to judge the qualifications of an individual.

* You projected your reading comprehension and drug addiction issues
onto me.

* When you backed yourself into a corner you reacted with anger -- name
calling, insults, lies, and more.

Remember, Carroll, you have at least one family member watching these
discussions... reading them and working to better understand your
issues. I was contacted by your family because of their concerns about
you -- they are tired of your obsession with me. They are concerned
about you... that is those who still care.1

... it's where you get off ;)

And you should really stop doing that, a steady regimen of psychotropic
leads to 'the bad place'. Some of your issues are probably related to
years of such abuse; just because they're legal doesn't make them safe.
Seriously, whose words *haven't* you taken out of context, completely
distorted the meaning of or flat out lied about?

Do you recall, years ago, when you warned me that you had seen Usenet
debates lead to divorce and other family issues? That was before you got
divorced... and before now, when you have a family member who has
contacted me and asked me to respond to you so they can watch you in
full action.

I want to be clear that I have not and never would reach out to ANYONE
in your life, as you have repeatedly done to me... but your family
reached out to me, based on your obsession and your personal problems.

You should heed your own warning.
