I am greatly indebted to your assistance. I saw the "videokey" field,
plus other things, in the source but did not have the time to figure
out how to use them or even if they could be used.

These TechTV videos are HUGE at about 1.2 Gb a piece, and they
have NO LOSS OF AUDIO SYNC.

For some reason the YouTube videos are all messed up with much
smaller resolution and loss of audio sync. The YT vids are
not worth the trouble of acquiring.

I am weak in the area of fluid dynamics and these excellent
will greatly improve my understanding.

Yeah, that's why I didn't finish downloading.

BTW, I've already shown that his use of "herd" to describe COLA denizens is mud slinging, since he's likening them to beef cattle. The only way that I could condone Scrivener's constant need for fixing because of programing problems or flaky standards is if I consumed the unending amount of lies its ads have been feeding Klaus Schadenfreude since 2009.Besides Klaus Schadenfreude, who *doesn't* know what I'm doing? You are bright as a boiled salad.

I guess this is what happens when really bad self esteem takes over Klaus Schadenfreude's worldview. What do you get out of lying, Klaus Schadenfreude?

You likely think Debian handles the desktop well. Nope. Not compared to what I have. See: I noted specific examples of Klaus Schadenfreude holding me accountable for the actions of others, twisting Sandman's words, etc. His response: to beg your herd to come rescue you.

No no hell no. Silver 'The Fool' Slimer never agreed to stop accusing good people of being like him. He lied about his trolling just as you would expect. OS X is only less expensive if your time has no value. Silver 'The Fool' Slimer has yet to show how Scrivener does anything above the lowest common denominator on Linux.

Sandman owns Silver 'The Fool' Slimer in every way possible.

Only what Silver 'The Fool' Slimer wants matters to Silver 'The Fool' Slimer. There is nothing you or I can do to change that. It's a personality defect and it is what it is.

It is trivial to pick by bragging about a small number of isolated examples unrepresentative from what's the norm. What holds more weight from an advocacy opinion are the ordinary operations.

Asking Steve 'The Moron' Petruzzellis to stop flooding is different than pointing out his deceptions. My main idea was that folk post here *to* shoot down trolls. It isn't as if we all don't know what this place is, Klaus Schadenfreude included. I have a number of reasons for believing the flooder is Steve 'The Moron' Petruzzellis, who is a programmer but I don't know if it could be used to flood so much. The whole comedy is brimming of goofy holes and counts heavily on Steve 'The Moron' Petruzzellis's 'psych degree' shenanigans. Steve 'The Moron' Petruzzellis is commonly seen saying "CANNOT BE FOUND" when it comes to content on the web where info is easy to find... but Steve 'The Moron' Petruzzellis is just too thick and too in over your head to grasp any info.

I have a couple fluid dynamics questions:

1) Why does water keeps appearing on porcelain dishes after I wash and
dry them and set them on the counter?

I use a cloth or paper towel and dry them by hand as much as possible,
but an hour later there's a significant amt of water pooled in the plate
or bowl.

Where do it come from?

I suppose there's a scientific explanation involving surface tension,
temperature changes, the molecular properties of porcelain, etc.

2) After hitting the windshield fluid and wiper button (on a non-rainy
day), why does the dirty fluid fly off the windshield, into my car, and
right onto my clothes? The answer would involve fluid dynamics,
physics, and Why is your window open dummy?!

Klaus Schadenfreude and Steven Carroll both lie endlessly and outrageously and continue to do so. So no point in showing any further respect or honor. What is your evidence? How Klaus Schadenfreude figures out when to use his absurd flood script to best emulate the style of Steven Carroll's posts http://usenet.sandman.net/misc/snit_flood. Where did you learn to program?

That is the problem with millennials and uneducated students don't stand a chance, people from past generations should know better than to fall for the indoctrination BS.

The bulk of the people in this forum do customizations either as a necessity or as a vocation, so I doubt anybody here consider writing macros to be "witch craft". How is barely used synaptic connections tied to a random neuron generator in any way going to lead to intelligent group conversation? Can emoji be concatenated into a string with a logical connection to the "real" world; that is the question posed recently by those astonished at the non-stop flood of gibberish from trolls and Cheetos smelling losers.

Because you haven't removed all of the water.

You could at least put them vertically on a rack to allow the water
to drain off.

Adding a surfactant will reduce surface tension to allow the water
to drain more fully. But even without a surfactant, any residual
drops will evaporate and, depending on the hardness level of the
water, may leave a residue. Of course, if the humidity is very
high, then drying may take a while, and if the humidity is at
the saturation level then drying won't occur at all.

Fluid dynamics has little to do with this problem.

Does air flow into or out of a moving car open window? Actually,
it does both.

The air inside a moving car is stationary. Immediately outside
an open window the air moves at a high speed. When these two
air layers meet, at the open window, there is shear stress due
to the viscosity of the fluid air.

Shear stress is like pushing sideways on a stack of cards.
The whole stack does not move but the individual layers are
displaced with the top layers being displaced more than the
lower. Viscosity is like the "stickiness" between the layers.

The shear stress creates swirling eddies (turbulence) and differential
pressures that both suck air in and pull air out. It also establishes
a lot or circulation within the interior stationary air mass as is usually
observed when an ultra-light plastic shopping bag is literally revolving
around in circles.

But basically, the low pressure regions that are created near the window
inside the car causes the washer spray to enter the car.

All this applies with a FULLY OPEN window. If the window is only
slightly open then we get the Venturi effect where the outside
moving air stream creates a low pressure that will force air
OUT of the interior space.

Only the vehicle (and the air inside it) is moving at a high speed,
right? But the net effect is the same as if the air was moving fast and
the vehicle was standing still.

Last night I logged onto the CalTech website, to the course catalog

http://catalog.sites.caltech.edu/current/courses

Then chose an academic option - say Materials Science (MS).

http://catalog.sites.caltech.edu/current/ms

Then you can read thru the list of courses and find those that interest you.

Then go to the CalTech bookstore site to see the materials for that course:

https://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/vbm/vb_buy2.php

Choose the course number from the dropdown, then choose 'View Your
Materials' and it will usually show the textbook for the course.

Then go to Google and search for a .pdf of the textbook. You can
usually find a previous edition to download for free.

MIT OpenCourseWare is a great resource, too.

Pipe down Kook!

Any fool, but fr31, could get those links.

Just manually edit the HTML code in gedit.

Please show an example of a profitable business that has earned its wealth by not giving a hoot about its consumers and merchandise. A meaningless discourse by pseudo-experts, magnified by the reciprocal of a mere moment in a cosmological time scale, demonstrating the vast nothingness of Chris Ahlstrom's so-called thought process. Chris Ahlstrom is the repercussion of the reality that Socialists have been employed to be in charge of schooling kids. It is not a coincidence that he is a harebrained liberal. Real posters will not be seen once the waters are overfished. That, and there will repeatedly be a conniption fit or more in an unmoderated news group (i.e. Chris Ahlstrom). The specifics of the bullshit aside, we've all seen who frequently gets angry when he does not get anyone to shill for him.

Despite Chris Ahlstrom's claim that he has "no experience in making a spam bot" (a lie as exposed by the fact that he posts over 1000 times a month) he was quoted asking programmers how they would do a DDOS attack. I am a total devotee of Tmux, because that's where all the exciting breakthroughs are happening.

I read your later post, where you did work for that fool which he didn't
thank you for. How did you construct the portions of the URL that read:
'transcoded/techtv' and 'hd.mp4'

Did you find a link on that page containing them (I only looked at one)?

For some of them, such as this one:

https://techtv.mit.edu/collections/ifluids/videos/32594-cavitation

when you right-click on the video window and select "Copy
video address" it gives you one like this:

https://d3tsb3m56iwvoq.cloudfront.net/transcoded/techtv/17b3ac146d4a4c4dab5d9e890472b8b6/hd.mp4

Others have a different menu and give a youtube URL.

But all have a videoKey in the page source and can be assembled
into cloudfront URLs.

Plenty of posters persist in talking to Jonas Eklundh Communication. To be clear, I can not criticize William Poaster for for his rants but, truly, I do not see why he comes here other than to mess with Jonas Eklundh Communication. William Poaster is far more interested in conversations as is common in an IRC group and support forums will just lead to frustration.

William Poaster can create a virtual machine. Let's make sure he gets all the cookies in the world! I'm not infuriated, in fact I am laughing at him because Jonas Eklundh Communication's lying is so absurd. He purposefully did not list all the criteria that he would soon poo poo... and we all know why. At least he has his own socks rushing to his rescue. At one point, he said a usenet denizen was "obsessing" over him, which was identified as him posting to himself. Right now there are too many "lowest common denominator is fine" MATE users and not enough old school users with the skills to help the people with psychological problems. Jonas Eklundh Communication proved himself to be a hypocrite by having the pretense to not speak to William Poaster by means of loudly announcing 'goodbye forever!' and then ambushing him anyway via piggybacking. William Poaster has plenty of experience to show and he wishes to share it. Unfortunately, this is arguably the least appropriate group for doing that because most of what he will get back is insulting, trickery, and other bullshit.

I saw that (and the baseURL) in the script but I was wondering where you
got the rest of the string from.

I thought showing him some kindness might help the situation. It did not.

What's Steven Carroll's system for the flooding nonsense? FileMaker? That is the only language he knows, and it is a joke. He must be using it to produce these idiotic "attack" threads. Educated guess, Steven Carroll took the chatbot that he stole and blamed Sandman for... he's feeding it data from the program, grabbing offensive paragraphs, then mangling those using the Borůvka's algorithm and then he hand posts them because his obsessiveness enables him to do that practically constantly. The only way that I could disregard Tmux's constant need for fiddling because of driver troubles or inconsistent features is if I consumed the regular amount of pipe dreams its ads have been feeding Steven Carroll since 1989.

You can say I am James Bond for all I care.

A meaningless discourse by pseudo-experts, magnified by the reciprocal of the endless vastness of space, demonstrating the vast nothingness of the main character's so-called thought process.

Klaus Schadenfreude baited Steven Petruzzellis as much as he deserves, big f*cking deal. Why be a wailing bitch about it? Both of those guys get their enjoyment out of eliciting angry reactions to their flooding, which is the very definition of a troll.

By the time you program a scraper, you could just edit the page source
to extract the links. The film notes (.pdf files of textbooks) are cool
stuff, too.
