We had a disagreement about this when I purchased a 2007 iMac, and I tried to use sudo. It complained that sudo wasn't set up. The CSMA residents said that was bogus. Maybe earlier macs came that way, but they don't now.

No one would set such an account up with su/sudo capabilities. But in regard to the Mack, did it come with an account already configured with sudo access? If so, that's retarded.
