By all means quote some of this "disinformation" I have been passing out!

Something you have no examples of. LOL!

>> or denying that you ever showed it to him.

Comes down to you have no idea what it means to prove something or even
offer support. You point to the words of OTHERS to try to show what I have
said... which makes no sense. Was cleaning up my files the other day and
came across a file where I collected quotes about you for a short time... do
not recall the time period, and I was able to get more derogatory quotes
about you in that time than you had been able to find AND FORGE about me.

But those quotes do not really mean a thing... what means something is what
YOU do. And what YOU do is obsess and harass and lie and follow me from
group to group and cry when I do not give you attention and blame me for
your own posts and more. Those are all easy to show with quotes FROM you.

>> Of course, he's also pretty good at posting his version of "proof" (that all
>> honest and honorable people agree isn't), as he falsely claims "you're lying"

In other words I back my views well and then you think empty denial is
somehow a good defense. Look at your lies about me hacking your account.
Clear lies. I documented it well. You lied. Period.

It does not matter if you deny it. Does not matter if those who troll COLA
deny it. What matters is the actual data... in this case your own words.

You lied. You blamed your own words on me. Again. You do that a lot.

That is not a question. That is not a debate. That is fact. But you think
public opinion (in a group filled with people who troll no less!) is more
powerful than fact.

>> Couple these glamorous traits with his monumental reading comprehension
>> problem and "chrisv''s" dehumanizing label of "the thing" starts looking

See: you have empty insults and attacks. I have facts. Drives you crazy.

> From my viewpoint it is weaseling.

I showed actual video of Trump doing as I noted he does... assuming I am
thinking of the video I think. Not going back in the thread to even check.

But keep in mind when you deem all "facts" to be liberal then you are
admitting that your view is not fact based, and to be face based is contrary
to your views. That is a very weak position for you to take... but the
modern conservative movement is pretty much a fat-denial movement. Even
things as basic as climate science is generally denied. Once you get to that
point you have a movement which is openly hostile to facts... one that has
no value to those of us who use reason over emotion.

We can, but a lot of people resist filtering him. They see his posts
and respond to them because they still think that the sniveling
Prescott Parasite has the ability to discuss things honestly. All the
power to them if that's what they want to do but I don't see the point
anymore especially as the rat is hated by the majority of people here.

He will become honest. Snit is wired to be dishonest and his main goal
is to cause disruption and get attention. Trying to discuss anything,
and I mean /anything/ serious with this kook is a waste of time. It will
/always/ turn into a mega thread circus. Every single time. And that is
what he expects and craves.
The bigger the circus, the more satisfied snit is.

Ignore him and he will find another group to shit on.

He can go to rec.sport-pro-wrestling if he wants to troll. If that
place is anything like it was in the early 2000s, everyone has an
opinion and everyone seems intent on trolling. He'd be happy there.
He'll be able to argue why some wrestler no one has ever heard of is
the best athlete of the modern era.

So far, thats right. *Any* firewall is completely useless if the connection
is legit. Connecting to Apache from the outside is such a case. Thats one of
the reasons the windows firewall is rarely able to prevent an attack

The firewall would have a hard time preventing that except it will inspect
the IP packets. Lots of over head and generally not wanted because of that.

When a connection to port 80 / Apache is already established it is up to the
config of Apache to prevent such things

For example: The *vast* majority of linux servers being hacked is via
legitimate connections with a service being vulnerable (i.e. old Apache).
The linux OS itself is extremely hard to hack into, but applications,
especially such big ones like Apache (or PHP, run by Apache) might contain a
problem where you can elevate rights

I couldn't even get OpenSuse to boot from the USB key I put it on. I
used unetbootin as I did for any other distribution but this one decided
not to run despite all of the BIOS settings being correct.

Microsoft has made sure that no modification of the hosts file will
prevent the operating system from communicating with its servers... that
should give you an indication. You can block those servers on the
router, but I think that Microsoft has a way around that block anyway.

You could google for VMware player, as it is free, and maybe it should
solve your problems. It integrates your current printing, internet
connection, sound generation, display, hard drive, you name it and it
should work with most linux distros.

I believe it is built into the os. You may just have to wait and keep
an ear open when somebody figures a way of blocking corporate snoops
from your PC.

Yeah, it's not a bad idea. I think we should all do that actually.

Even tho it may not be complete as owl suggests it wouldn't, it's enough
because this particular forger isn't smart enough to forge the pgp stuff.

Do you or owl have experience with setting up the conf file in GnuPG?
Specifically how do I add a keyserver?

I've never messed with keyservers, but looking at gpg.conf it looks
like you just add (or uncomment) a keyserver line.

------------

# Most users just set the name and type of their preferred keyserver.
# Note that most servers (with the notable exception of
# ldap://keyserver.pgp.com) synchronize changes with each other. Note
# also that a single server name may actually point to multiple
# servers via DNS round-robin. hkp://keys.gnupg.net is an example of
# such a "server", which spreads the load over a number of physical
# servers. To see the IP address of the server actually used, you may use
# the "--keyserver-options debug".

#keyserver hkp://keys.gnupg.net
#keyserver mailto:pgp-public-keys@keys.nl.pgp.net
#keyserver ldap://keyserver.pgp.com

# Common options for keyserver functions:

------------

And then i guess, in gpg:

       --send-keys key IDs
Similar to --export but sends the keys to a keyserver. Finger‐
prints may be used instead of key IDs. Option --keyserver must
be used to give the name of this keyserver. Don't send your com‐
plete keyring to a keyserver --- select only those keys which
are new or changed by you. If no key IDs are given, gpg does
              nothing.
