SubjectMarek Novotny Verification
Message-ID<zf6dnXz8nLRlu3rKnZ2dnUU7-eudnZ2d@giganews.com>
There is someone attempting to fool users on aol that I am them.

my address has always been marek.novotny@marspolar.com. This is a domain
I own. You may use older posts from me as your verification. You may
also use my github as your verification as that also shows not only my
correct email address, but also my join date which is January 9th, 2015.

Anyone posting using any other address is not me and should be in your
kill file / score file.

Trust me. This is just Snit warming up in the other group. His real trolling has yet to really begin.

Are you beginning to see what I mean?

Yes, obviously suffering from withdrawal and wants me to pay more
attention to him.

The guy is a complete mental case. There is a _slight_ chance that he's
not the one creating all of the socks in a desperate bid for attention
but it's very remote. It bothers me that I have to add new e-mail
addresses to my killfile every day because this loser is simply unable
to leave this shithole.

My thinking is that no one uses it, and thus can't really verify anyway.
I've set it up in the past (using thunderbird) and no one really seems
to use it. I had joined a mail list where we tried it out and offered
help to others for it and that was pretty much the only place it ever
saw any action.

Are you setup to use it?

No need to use it all the time, but a suspected forger can be asked to
sign an message for "proof of you." Encryption is also handy on occasion.
Forgers here have been known to tack a reposted signed message as a reply
to a new message, where the original text almost makes sense as a reply.
Make sure the entire message body, top to bottom, including all quoted
text, is signed.

If you start using it, I know that I will do so as well out of respect
for you and to ensure that Snit and his band of socks are silenced.
There used to be a poster here who used it regularly but I don't recall
his alias.

I know this is a post from the real Marek... know how? One easy way to tell the forgeries, via Google's help, this is associated with this post:

<https://groups.google.com/forum/#!activity/comp.os.linux.advocacy/wuwL0MO7EwAJ>

For all its faults, Google makes it easy to spot this stuff. It also makes it easy to combat and, I think, does a better job (easier, anyway) than using PGP. With a gmail account every post has the unique Google acct. number that, as far as I can tell, can not be spoofed. My posts will always have this as the acct. number:

posting-account=qzPusQoAAADVdKNEKE-jqIVbecHp7oZ7

Additionally, they always use an IP address that locates back to Comcast in Colorado.

Owl got me to try using the PGP thing at one point, but infantile jackass used it to create more confusion, the Google acct number works better in my opinion. One look at my header and the 'Z7' (at the end of the acct. number) proves it me.

Well that seems to have found my google account email for sure. Google
knows the relationship between my account which I setup the Google
account with. marek.novotny@marspolar.com was used as the original
account to setup my gmail account which is marek.v.novotny@gmail.com
since marek.novotny was taken as my name is popular. I only set that up
to reserve it and because I wanted to create a YouTube account.

You never need it though. My actual email account is
marek.novotny@marspolar.com and I am the owner of that domain.

marspolar.com failed to open. No home page there? Anyway, can't that still easily be used by someone pretending to be you (though, probably not from a GoogleGroups based post)?

No, marspolar.com has no ports opened other than ssh, which is blocked
from root login. I get attacked between 34,000 and 66,000 times per
month. Sometimes I show them happening in real time. I guess I could do
a video tonight when China wakes up if you're curious. I'm sure you've
seen it all before.

Yeah, pretty much at 9:00AM there time I will start to see the flood
begin. I could restrict a large block but then they'll just go through a
proxy which changes their entry vector... If they're serious enough,
they'll figure it out.
