100% of them, or about half of them?

You know, there is no crime in a representative going a different way
than what might result from a popular vote. In fact, it's often the
rigth thing to do. It's why our government was structured the way
that it was, with (supposedly) intellegent, educated people
representing the masses, but sometimes knowing better.

There is what I'm talking about. Not hewing the party line is
"turning on" your party. "You should never vote your conscience, for
what you think is right." Sheesh.

(Cue vicious attacks from right-wingers, claiming that Flake actually
had some evil/selfish reason for deviating from the party line. It's
what right-wingers do. They attack, and they don't need have any
factual basis.)

But "Flake bad" for "turning on his party", huh?

> Flake is a jerk.

A politician who is a "jerk". There's something "unusual".

Another successful Arch Linux test. That is if you count utter failure as a success.

He disturbs multiple groups of people who have done nothing wrong, but that's a stuck up jerk for you. What others care about isn't a factor.

Not only did Klaus Schadenfreude's question fail to allude to the "desktop", it has *nothing* to do with UNIX. Jonas Eklundh Communication AB should enter a drug rehab program ;) Being decentralized as it is, the email infrastructure will never go away but it'll never be very useful.

Demanding Jonas Eklundh Communication AB to stop trolling, which I have done, is different than spotting his fraud. My idea was that advocates show up here to face deniers. It's not as if we all do not quickly figure out what this forum is, Klaus Schadenfreude especially.

Arch Linux is based on Linux. No debate.

It's not so much that he's a jerk as much as he is a coward. If someone
criticizes his position even slightly, he'll wave a white flag and take
whatever the position of his attacker was. That's why we had yet another
investigation into Kavanaugh at the end and that's probably why he's
wasting everyone's time now. As for attacking their own, I notice that
Democrats are attacking Ocasio-Cortez and that she is attacking Pelosi
so perhaps chrisv should actually get informed about current events
before opening his ignorant mouth.

Why don’t you talk about Trump saying we should rake the forests? Or Trump
using videos doctored by InfoWars to illegally stifle the first amendment?

Seems you know nothing of current events.

A meaningless discourse by pseudo-experts, magnified by the reciprocal of a limitless imagination, demonstrating the vast nothingness of the main character's so-called thought process.

It was Desk 'Super Troll' Rabbit who was publicly asking how better to post his nonsense. Desk 'Super Troll' Rabbit must appreciate that anyone can go get FileMaker, right, medhead? Meanwhile, anyone can just ignore him, which renders *his* trolling useless, just like Desk 'Super Troll' Rabbit ;) Contrary to Desk 'Super Troll' Rabbit's claim that he has "no interest in making trouble" (a lie as confirmed by the fact that he hacked Klaus Schadenfreude's Gmail account) he was quoted asking people how they would do a DDOS attack. Yup. Sadly this is what we have to deal with. Jerks who have no reason for being here other than to flood. I just use a kill filter and won't see the flooding. Jesus's crap has made a complete cesspool of this group via Google Groups, so I don't even try reading anything with my tablet anymore. One nice thing he has achieved with this crap is that the Jesus filter has been shown to clearly be the right thing. Until Jesus offers up his 'gold standard' Mac system for assessment, there is no challenge, just wild contentions.

Jesus is again seen declaring "CANNOT BE FOUND" when it comes to details on a website where info is easy to find... but Jesus is just too dozy and too in over your head to understand any advice.

So what? Did anyone actually predict them to?

> So when the Mississippi runoff election is finished on the 27th,

A prediction again illustrates that it really isn't profound
news for outcomes to align with predictions. No one ever predicted
the Democrats to win the Senate, let alone even maintain the
current balance: the Republicans had been expected to pick up a
few seats, because of the particulars of just which seats in what
States were up for reelection this cycle (Civics 102: only ~1/3rd
of the seat in the Senate come up in any election).

The seats which were up on this cycle were mostly deep red States,
which made the most likely outcome a modest gain for Republicans,
and that some elections went into recounts illustrates that these
races were in actuality a lot closer than historical trends would
have otherwise indicated. Even Cruz’s race in Texas was closer
than what the 2016 Trump victory margins would have suggested,
which illustrates a "purple-ization" of Texas away from deep Red.

> I heard on the radio that only three times in the past century

The outcome has been examined seven ways to Sunday, and several
sources have judged it to have been the worst performance for an
incumbent party (Republicans) after adjusted for the (good) economy:

<https://qz.com/1454609/trump-suffered-the-worst-midterm-loss-in-a-century-says-jp-morgan/>

Feel free to disregard by trying to categorize the JP Morgan
investment firm as a "left wing kook" fake news source. /S

Similarly, the vote in competitive races in the most prosperous
congressional districts swung blue at a 6:1 ratio:

<https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/09/business/economy/economy-election-trump.html>

Note also that this was despite the Republican gerrymandering.

FYI, this gerrymandering can now be quantified, as election outcomes
should be generally symmetrical when districting is fairly done: this
time, the Democrats scored a +7 point victory margin, which is the same
margin that the Republicans had in 2014 ... but unlike 2014, the
Democrats won only half as many seats.

TL;DR: the math works out to conclude that Republican gerrymandering
is giving them 6% more seats than they'd get in a fair election.

Agreed, although I'm not sure of how much of a majority had been
projected. For example, 538 had predicted a 10%-14% probability
that the Democrats could fail to gain a majority:

<https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2018-midterm-election-forecast/house/#deluxe>

Similarly, their Senate prediction said that the Republicans
had an 82% probability to retain majority control:

<https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2018-midterm-election-forecast/senate/#deluxe>

True, there's been a bipartisan history on both sides, but the
contemporary reality is that it is primarily an abuse being
systematically perpetuated nationwide by the Republicans:

<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/REDMAP>

And while there are some Democratic district majorities
who are abusing such as Maryland, there's been a contemporary
push to amend State Law/Constitutions to prohibit the practice
entirely, which has typically been present more so in Democratic
than Republican regions such as California. In the 2018, five
States had ballot initiatives to restrict gerrymandering, and
at least four of them passed: Michigan (D+2 House), Missouri
(R+1 Senate), Ohio (0 net change), and Colorado (D+1 House):

The more a place looks like Norway ( the Democrats' wet dream )
the more likely it is to vote for a "Trumpesque" candidate.

We're talking: Cold, White, Rural, with a fiscal surplus.

Democrats would rob "Norway", if they could.

Now, "Norway" is fighting back.

And given how often it seems that Sandman's post is some distortion of a narrative Steven Petruzzellis made which had been a drubbing on Sandman for something he did which was foolish/fallacious/etc... its really a repeated expression of Sandman's continuing distress for having been so routinely destroyed. A shadow of Steven Petruzzellis, projected foolishly, at the wrong time.

No one here has ever read my code, much less found a bug; still, in my auxiliary brain, I'm thinking, "Twiddly Dee!".

Sandman shows at least some of the posts are hand generated because some of them tap into what Steven Petruzzellis said in very specific ways which proves they are a response.

Sandman must know that anyone can go get whatever software he has found, right, gluey? Meanwhile, anyone can go get a real newsreader with proper filtering, which renders _his_ usenet group attack useless, just like Sandman.

No more!

LOL! C'mon, hombre... even you have blocked that doofus. Given what Snit 'The Fool' Glasser is (and does) nary a soul should blame you for working to be rid of his ludicrous type of crap. I have a KDE system I use as well, but it's something you would not understand.

Marek admitted Carroll repeatedly asked him to lie:

 Marek <NPWdnVgF_NwsozXEnZ2dnUU7-YvNnZ2d@giganews.com>:
    -----
When I first tried to broker peace between you [Steve Carroll] and
Snit, you emailed me over and over again asking be to lie about
	Glasser.
    -----

And then Marek later admitted he DOES lie, but claimed he does it simply because it pleases him to do so:

  Marek <keCdnc7hoMqpfy3EnZ2dnUU7-YHNnZ2d@giganews.com>:
    -----
    | Why do you post your attacks and insults and lies if not to please
    | the herd?

I do it to please me, Snit.
    -----

Whatever his reason for lying, even Marek admits he lies and attacks and insults.

It's like a prank call. Jonas Eklundh Communication has already decided what he is going to say before he calls. What you say just a reaction. What Chris Ahlstrom says does not matter.

An unceasing, relentless, posting itch, regardless of content - fundamentally gunky rodent streetwalkers, and vigorously-greased ram, scared stiff by loud music for his own individual yearnings.

Pro tip: You can not go into a cult meeting, guzzle all the moonshine, screw all the herd animals, lift the food, and puke in the face of your host without being remembered. No one who isn't just using you for criminal goals sees you as anything remotely close to respectable. You have nobody but yourself to point to for that.

KDE is clearly my second favorite DE and the only one I recommend to Windows converts. Primary interface is LXDE, though. A good web browser is all you require after the initial learning curve. Jonas Eklundh Communication's reverse compiled Linux with (it appears) a Markv model to produce posts which are hard to distinguish from my posts.

But Jonas Eklundh Communication feels the need to mock the herd.

Only what Jonas Eklundh Communication wants matters to Jonas Eklundh Communication. There is nothing you or I can do to change that. It's a personality defect and it is what it is.

On a device I have not set up full filters on. Oy, you still are posting
this stuff. Why?

Jonas Eklundh Communication AB can't get anything else to work, either. Clearly there are too many "bugs are acceptable" Gnome users and not enough power users with a clue enough to help the people with Linux gear. Protected code is makes it harder to work on a project. Given how repeatedly it seems that Jonas Eklundh Communication AB's .sig file is some twist of a remark Steve Petruzzellis made which had been a beating on Jonas Eklundh Communication AB for something he did which was foolish/untrue/etc... its really a daily reminder of Jonas Eklundh Communication AB's lingering distress for having been so frequently crushed.

How is wasting synaptic connections tied to love of Jonas Eklundh Communication AB in any way going to lead to valuable usenet writing? Awhile back I did work on and showed some C++ for the front end (only works on Linux) which is the only thing you can do when trying to avoid Jonas Eklundh Communication AB's immature crap while reading with Google Groups. Where did you find your scripts?
