You (Joe Genteel) told me:
> HTML tags do not work in a newsreader.

Says the "idiot" who only knows the "Pan" newsreader,
and nothing else, not even Mozilla Thunderbird.

Do you, like Ben Jacoby, use Linux because
you're too "stupid" to surf the web
without installing malware ? ! I think so.

Maybe you are "smart", in some other way,
but you don't know tech.

> Usenet is a text medium.

Right, and HTML is text; more specifically:
"Content-Type: text/HTML; charset=UTF-8".

Just because you don't understand it,
and you never will, doesn't mean that
I need to drop down to your level, all the time.

My 89 year old mother, who can't use a computer,
is not a "wuss", nor a "pussy".

Today, the word "nerd" is no longer derogatory.

Hey, idiot, check out RFC 5536, which defines the Usenet
format. It is *text* only. HTML tags are not valid.

Now, if we want HTML format within Usenet we can use MIME
extensions but these extensions are not Usenet per se.

Usenet precedes http and it is http that employs HTML syntax.

Your fatuous statements prove that you are technically inept.

Of course, to accommodate buffoons like you, who are too feeble-minded
to handle the abstractness of a pure text format, you will undoubtedly
find Usenet/Email clients that shoehorn HTML. But real men don't use
them.

For having spawned an intellectual oaf like you, your mother,
and father, are ...

Awesome reply by Jeff Relf.

Two for two.

I've always been a nerd and proud of it.

Oh yeah! Jeffy boy is so awesomely technical.

But some would argue that network protocols do not actually
represent the truly technical. Network administration, they
will say, is for pseudo-technical pussies.

Let ask Jeffy boy, and his queer fanboi Slimer, a truly technical
question.

There are two sets of three IEEE floating point doubles stored
at contiguous 16-byte aligned memory locations a1, a2, a3 and
b1, b2, b3.

These FP doubles are the components of two 3D Euclidean vectors.

Write an assembly language routine, using SSE 4.2 instructions,
to compute the cross product of these two vectors and then store
the result in 16-byte aligned memory at c1, c2, c3.

C'mon Jeffy boy, what is the solution?

Ha, ha, ha, ha! I thought so. Go back to your pussy networks and
take fanboi with you.
