[deletia]

On the other hand, it's a pretty retarded thing to crow about. It's
not like that ability to install on a PC hard drive actually gets you
anything. You get to waste gigabytes of space on your hard drive and you
still need the original install media because of all of the bogus DRM
that comes with PC gaming.

NOT having a hard drive actually ends of being less bothersome.

PCs have actually gone BACKWARDS by your own metric.

Oh Jed. You're such a clueless fucking imbecile it's not funny anymore.

Waste? You have ZERO idea how big these games are now and what they need
to stream etc. It has to be on the HD.

Seriously. Why do you insist on talking about things you know absolutely
nothing about!

Mind you , you did claim two programmers could knock up Halo2 in a
fortnight!

You're an idiot. Be sure to know that.

You seem to be completely missing the point. Since then, the ONLY
innovations which are console-specific and didn't appear on the PC first
are the Wii controls and the Kinect camera control. The former was a
huge success but Nintendo finds itself struggling to make a profit
nowadays whereas the latter was a bust and is the very reason people are
buying the PS4 over the XBOX One (games reserve too much of their
resources for Kinect-specific tasks and cause the games to perform worse
than their PS4 counterparts). Every other innovation is PC-specific and
the graphics capabilities of even the average PC surpass those of a
console to create experiences which won't appear on consoles until 2018
at the soonest.

Load times are improved. Loading the entirety of the game from optical
media versus loading from the hard disk are two completely different
things. The advantages are immeasurable for people who are concerned
with excellent frame-rates and delays. I do however agree that the need
to insert the CD was awful. It was exactly what prevented me from ONLY
playing on the PC. Luckily, Steam and Origin came along to solve that
problem.

> NOT having a hard drive actually ends of being less bothersome.

You obviously haven't thought that one through.

I don't think you've played PC games in a while. Hint: King's Quest is
no longer the top-selling title.

5 years behind on graphics sounds about right.

PC graphics cards are insanely powerful nowadays.

You shoulda heard JED the moron babble about Apple:

"[Apple] tried as hard as they possibly could with an early lead in both
technology and name recognition and STILL don't have much to show for it."

I had to remind the blithering bozo:

* Apple desktop market share is 7.5% (which is 5x that of Linux).

* was the most valuable corporation in the world

* stellar reputation for innovation

* many years of the highest customer satisfaction ratings

Kinect controller, maybe?

We have a PS3 (wife bought it as Christmas gift). I rarely use it -
more to play Blu-Ray discs than anything else.

If people can content themselves with gameplay topping at 1080p, any
midrange 200$ graphics card will do an excellent job for years to come
with ultra quality and AT LEAST 30fps. That, on a machine worth no more
than 400$. Essentially, 600$ will get you a PC which plays
better-looking games than anything a console cooks up for a longer
period of time and you can actually use that PC for other things like
downloading porn if that's your thing. Hell, you can even save 100$ by
not buying Windows and contenting yourself with a GNU/Linux gaming machine.

They have the most dedicated customers in the world actually. People
proudly stick the Apple logo on their cars, insist on buying even more
hardware from the same company after the initial purchase and get a
certain sense of smugness from the fact that they purchased an Apple
product. Apple's cool factor, alone, is a lot to show for it.

> I had to remind the blithering bozo:

If I'm not mistaken, it's actually higher, closer to 9.5% or 10%.
However, my numbers might not be as recent as yours.

> * was the most valuable corporation in the world

More valuable than Microsoft with more money in the bank.

> * stellar reputation for innovation

This might not be true for much longer. As it is, Tim Cook has been
absolutely awful on that front. Apple is quickly turning into the
post-Steve Jobs Apple from 1985 to 1997. While I don't think Apple will
ever go bankrupt, they will definitely hurt their reputation if they
continue to be the status quo company they currently are.

Absolutely.

Absolutely, but it wouldn't be fair to Nintendo not to mention the Wii
controls.

Of course that's my thing.

Did you hear they wanted to do a study of porn, but needed a control

heh!

I haven't tried any Linux games in a couple years at least. They used
to have egoboo and chromium and XMoto and Frozen Bubble and TuxRacer.

Maybe it'll improve with Valve's supposed conversion to Linux (not that
they would ever ruin the company by discontinuing sales and development
for Windows and XBox).

I always hear Apple devotees referred to as smug or iCultists, etc., but
I haven't actually ever talked to one. Even the Apple Store employees I

The latest MacPro is extremely innovative. Like no other desktop ever
produced.

And I read their shares are up 56% since Cook became CEO. Nice.

I forgot about them. We have a Wii here at home as well (tucked behind
the TV, only used a couple times). The various game control devices -
like bow and steering wheel - are kewl.

Steam already has some decent games for GNU/Linux and I'd say that the
best one is Metro: Last Light which is an excellent game. However, Valve
made DOTA 2 available and it's a gigantic hit with tournament gamers and
masochists. Rust is also available as an early access game and it's just
a matter of time before it becomes the next best thing (you start off
naked, in the woods and have to pick up resources to feed, clothe,
shelter and defend yourself... the possibilities are endless). For
soccer afficianados, Football Manager 2014 is available and strategy
buffs can play Europa Universalis IV. It's not the greatest collection
yet but it's pretty damned good when you consider that you didn't have
to pay for the OS which allows you to buy and play them.

The Apple Store employees I talked to actually liked their job and
seemed fairly knowledgeable. I was very surprised to be honest.

Wow, that's a surprising revelation. I was convinced that things were
going downhill. If he's managed to increase the value of the stocks by
literally doing absolutely nothing, it speaks volumes about Apple's
influence as well as the health of the company.

I had to take Greek Mythology in high school and I remember that
name. Other than that??????

What puzzles me is why guys need to go to porn to satisfy themselves.
Doesn't make sense to me.
At least not for average men involved in relationships.
Single, geeks, oddballs I can understand.
Not judging, just curious.

My wife has as strong of a sex drive as I do and I could literally have
sex whenever I want but let's be honest: I do all the work. Sometimes
you just want to sit back and be lazy and Internet porn enforces that.
Even if my wife weren't the horny type, I know I could easily get sex
elsehwere if the relationship were open because I'm not even remotely
ugly but I'm very loyal.

No offense meant but I find that sad. Why doesn't she do "the work" at times

I don't recognize her (she's gorgeous here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cytherea_2011.jpg), but I mostly watch
xhamster clips.

Some of the soft-core shows that come on late at night on Showtime
feature real porn actresses I recognize. Then I know they're actually
doing it, but the camera editing hides the good action.

WebMD might have an answer for you:

All I can say is the visuals are nearly as important as the physical. I
like to find scenes that remind me of sexual experiences I had in the past.

You need to find a partner who understands your needs.
Seriously.
Women have fantasies as well.
And it's not all "Fabian" stuff. Most isn't in fact.
Some of it is as "dirty", if you will, as guys have.

The focus though is less on physical and more on emotional, scenery
etc.

When you find a partner you click with, tell her your fantasies and I
guarantee you that she will understand. You just need to present it
as a desire and not a sleazy event. Let her know it's important to
you.
Trust me.

I've been married for a long time. My wife isn't into fantasies, or at
least has never hinted at them.

You can hint. And more.

Nothing to do with that. It's the thrill factor. You wouldn't watch the
SAME clip over and over or the same actors. Well most dont.

In many cases are worse than men.

Women, should they want it, can invariably walk into any bar and find a
partner. Its why dads are so protective of their daughters. Its how the
world is made.

My wife has brown eyes but she knows that I have an absolute lust for
people with blue eyes. Just that colour, regardless of the rest, will
somehow do it for me. That one is somewhat insurmountable.

Oh, she knows what I like most. The problem is, we can't go that route
yet since we don't necessarily want children at the moment.

Contact lenses.

By the way... I have blue eyes. If I ever meet you face-to-face remind me to
wear dark sunglasses. :)

#1) Real Life girl$$$ aren't that hot.

#2) They're super·worried about diseases;
i.e. their physical and emotional health.

Then men I know, poor men, don't have girlfreinds,
-- much less 3 super·hot girlfriends that'd let
a man quickly switch between them all, all holes.

Girls what money for that, lots of it, many thousand$$$.
Most won't do it for -any- price.

Cytherea is famous for being the squirting queen. She's like one of
those 1980's toys the companies kept pushing at children. Rub it
slightly and watch the liquid explode!

In my case, it's women from my past. It's not that the relationship was
better because the relationship I have with my wife is the best I've
ever had. However, some of the sex was indeed very memorable and we like
to relive it in our own way.
