Screen res 1920x1200 http://bayimg.com/GaNEhaAfK The screenshot improves it and makes it look tiny but OK, but in real life you can barely read it. It makes the default terminal nearly useless. Icons and file names and such are fine otherwise.

I did not find the terminal on mine hard to read... now the fact I cannot get out of 800x600 is miserable but tied to my VM. Some of them may have been vm-related, but most were not (being 'honest and honorable' Snit tried to hide - in the videos themselves - that he was running Mint in a vm). https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332452 * Creating a new folder gives no notification but creating a file does * Creating a new folder with the same name errors out with no options, but creating a new file gives options * The dialog for dealing with a name-conflict for files is absurd, telling me the file I have not created already exists and is newer than the file that does already exist, and worse yet it has pop up text telling me that if I select to "overwrite" the file I will be prompted again when I am not! * The file creation notification is often wrong, telling me I have created a file when I have not or even telling me I have created a file with a name other than what I did (implying I overwrote an existing file). It also sometimes tells me a name and sometimes does not. * Copy and Paste gives the incorrect option to "Paste URL" instead of "Paste File", then warns you will overwrite the file with itself * Dialogs allowing renaming of a file in mid-creation which are completely different depending on how you go there * The delete key does not delete a file, but right clicking gives the option to delete; shift delete deletes a file but delete does not (the meny bypasses the safeguard of the trash) * Dragging files from the trash to the desktop changes their permissions (which leads to an error saying my disk might be full!) * Dragging files from the trash back to the trash gives an absurd error offering the options of skipping and auto skipping, whatever that means, and leads to a file move conformation that makes no sense * The trash toolbar has the option to create a folder - it does not work * The menu has the same option grayed out, but does have the option to create files (which does not work yet leads to a confirmation) * The menu also has the option to rename which you are told you cannot do, you truly cannot do, but the name appears to change anyway - leading to other errors * When you empty the trash you are told you cannot undo this, but the undo option is still available in the menu; it leads to an error about not being able to rename files (why?) > The *gratis* Oracle VM VirtualBox provides Virtual GPU accelerated > drivers for both Linux and Windows client OS-es on both Linux and > Windows host systems. > > Michael "Snit" Glasser is a Liar, Michael "Snit" Glasser is a POS. You can simply change the font size in the terminal emulator menu: Edit > Profile Preferences > General Tab (see screenshot) http://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/t382/ml2mst2/0xd00f.png * Uncheck "Use the system fixed with font"; * click the "font" button; * change it with the font/size you desire. Non-problem solved! I'll check out within a few minutes if I can do that on Windows 8 CMD and PowerShell as well. Let's see which of the two is the *real* crapware. Ubuntu 14.04 LTS or Windows 8.1 update 1...

Kewl. I was confused by the Unity slopware and didn't see the app menus on the taskbar (ridiculous, and copied from Mac) instead of on the app window where they belong. Unity is extremely bogus - except for one cool feature: when you have multiple windows open related to an app, clicking the launcher icon will show all windows onscreen at once, sized proportionately. Sort of like the Apple Expose` feature. > I'll check out within a few minutes if I can do that on Windows 8 > CMD and PowerShell as well. Let's see which of the two is the *real* > crapware. Ubuntu 14.04 LTS or Windows 8.1 update 1... I can't stand Win8 myself, but Ubuntu in general (and especially with Unity) just looks and feels clunky and locked-down. They've simplified the interfaces and menus to appeal to the lowest common denominator, and taken away the appeal of Linux: geek tinker-toy time!

How do you decide what the "best font" is??? Some "committee" should narrow-down the choices for us! He's raving! Creepy. Your'e a fucking idiot. There are oodles of studies demonstrating this and none to disprove it. Its obvious to anyone with half a brain (bad luck as you appear to have less) that TOO MANY CHOICES/VARIABLES confuse people and make their chocies harder often resulting in worse choices being made to "get it done". He's raving! Indeed, the lunacy that trolls will spew, in their anti-freedom zealotry, is absolutely *amazing*. M$ shills like Kreep will shamelessly spew *obvious* falsehoods, like the above. It all goes back to supporting the Micro$oft Corp, of course. People really do not want choice, you know, and the desktop OS market "proves" it. Micro$oft didn't fsck-over consumers, denying them choice - consumers "want" it like this. Are we supposed to forget that the bazillion *other* product markets in the world prove that people *do* really want choice? They also *prove* that any exceptions to the rule, like the desktop OS market, are broken, non-functional markets that lack real consumer choice. -- "In this case they don't want a choice. They already chose. They want a Windows PC." - "True Linux advocate" Hadron Quark
