Given how desktop Linux is free, readily available, and has been marketed by
such tech giants as Dell and HP and also Walmart, your comment is exactly
correct.

But the herd blames the boogieman.

You have to keep other factors in mind, such as the ones I list above... but
given those it is very clear how unappealing desktop Linux is.

My videos show just the tip of the iceberg as to why.

Why not stop all the nonsense and actually try to find some redeeming
quality of desktop Linux?

Unfortunately, the translation of the above is:

"Some days, I simply can't face the reality that
I've lost yet another debate ... YET AGAIN!"

The point that Lloyd made - which is what chrisv simply
can't face - is that Linux has failed to be sufficiently
compelling in the desktop marketplace to achieve any level
of representation higher than essentially background noise.

And that's pretty obvious to anyone. Where it does have compelling
advantages : servers, embedded devices etc it has done well.

But you must remember turd IS a turd.

Creepy Chris Ahlstrom is the ONLY one to suck up to him though. Even
Koehlmann, to his credit, thinks turd is a skidmark on the world's
toilet bowl.

Desktop Linux competes poorly. This is is clear. The "advocates" look at any
excuse other than desktop Linux itself - generally at some boogieman,
usually MS but sometimes Apple.
