On the bright side flash isn't operating. Not sure if I never installed it
or it was inactivated by someone. On Linux, I just left it off as lacking improved
my over all experience. One downside, a NASA site seemed to require it.
On Linux it was easier to put it on or take it off.

End of May the next OS comes............Trig

You're clearly an idiot.

Have you tried Ubuntu?

I've been suggesting Linux to him for 2 months.

Sometimes life is about a bit of patience. As I've said before, I
added the new OS in about another month.

You are a Snit sock. People are not as stupid as you need them to be.

This idiot is waiting for a specific version of a distro before changing over.
Many use this group to bash Linux, I use it to bash MS OS 8.1 when it abuses
me. It's about being fair and balanced.

Yes, in the past. It started to look too much like MS OS 8 so I switched
to another distro as did many others. At the start Ubuntu as extremely
stable and easy to use.

Maybe I can get mentioned amongst this elite group. Perhaps I
should start up a blog from my point of view.

He does the same thing with most everyone. It is a putz's game.

All I understand is that company's such as DirecTv don't mind using GPL
software, and include the license in the hard-copy user manual that you get
when their techs install DirectTV in your home. (And, of course, it
includes instructions on how to get the software.)

Look at all the people desperately trying to find me being wrong or, worse
yet, dishonest. Unfortunately for them, for every lie they find from me I
can find 10 from them. Or more. Heck, right now their count is at *zero*.

Pathetic.

You are busted lying every day, Snit. It is harder to find examples of posts of yours where you do not lie.

The GPL is very business-friendly. Thousands of companies exploit and
contribute GPL'ed software. It allows them to get to market faster
and with a higher quality product. Everyone wins.

But "Hadron" thinks the GPL is insidious, and that companies that use
it are immorally making money from other people's work.

It's quite perplexing that our "true Linux advocate" seems to despise
*every* principle of Free and Open Source Software.

Brains of shit, he's got.

How? GPL allows forking of product and rebranding it with source
code. Say you want to sell product and anyone can get source
code and with little changes brand new product and give ti for free.
Example: xchat for windows which is not free and hexchat which is same
program derived from xchat but free.
How is this business friendly?

Thousands of companies think it's a good deal, and take advantage of
it.

If you don't like the terms, then don't fscking use it. There is a
choice. Duh.

FOSS is not about "selling software". *Obviously*

It's a tool, used to efficiently accomplish goals and create products.

Sheesh.

It is very business friendly. As XChat is derived from a GPL code base,
anyone can take it, fork it and offer it (with source, naturally)
