Wow, Microsoft really screwed the pooch on the October upgrade didn't they?
No wonder "Hadron" suddenly has a new interest in Linux. He's looking for a
lifeboat.

~~
More problems surface with the buggy Windows 10 October 2018 Update

As you know by now, Microsoft was forced to put the Windows 10 October 2018
Update on ice following reports that it was deleting user files. What made
the problem even worse was Insiders had reported that issue to Microsoft
months ago, but the software giant failed to address it.

While the feature update is back in testing, non-Insiders have been
discovering additional problems with it. First up, if you use the built-in
zip tool to extract a file to a folder where a version of that file already
exists (even if it has different data), nothing will actually happen.

What should happen is Windows spots there’s a file of the same name, shows
you a warning asking if you’d like to overwrite the existing file, and if
you do, overwrite it. But the warning message is missing, and so what
happens is Windows spots there’s a file of the same name, doesn’t display
the question, doesn’t copy the file, but doesn’t tell you it hasn’t done
this either.

Oh, and naturally this was a bug that Insiders reported to Microsoft a while
ago, but which wasn’t fixed during testing.

In addition to the file deletion howler, display audio issues, bad audio
drivers, problems with Edge and Store apps, and the above zip problem, users
are also reporting that certain Unicode characters -- for example the black
and white star symbols (Unicode 2605 and 2606 respectively) -- are failing
to display in many apps.

While most of these issues aren’t major, and should be easily fixable, the
fact they have made their way through the Insider testing process, even
after being reported to Microsoft, does bring into question once again
whether rushing out two feature updates a year is really such a good idea.
~~

"Easily fixable." You mean like some kind of magic rite to talk to your
deleted files? What's really amazing is that testers informed Microcrap of
these problems and they went ahead with the "upgrade" anyhow. Talk about a
hobbyware company.

Micrsoft should rename themselves "Quality Control Ain't Us."

Oh, and notice that Windows updates cause driver issues ... hmmm ... it
seems like someone here has mentioned that before... who could that be ...
oh, it was me, that's right.

I don't have time required for the grueling process of fixing this Windows
crap.

Awhile back I did work on and showed some Visual C++ for the front end (only works on Linux) which is the only thing you can do when trying to avoid Sigmond's narcissistic crap while reading with Google Groups. Why do you keep repeating Klaus Schadenfreude? This is merely a hobby of mine.

RonB should call himself "Bright I am NOT."

Was that meant to be to Klaus Schadenfreude? It's Flooder Carroll's problem but he does not care. Obviously he would rather blame Klaus Schadenfreude than face reality. It's a decades long war, and Flooder Carroll is simultaneously an expert bullshitter of trolling remarks, while posting with socks with a myriad of tells. Flooder Carroll can't get anything else to work, either. Just stupid trolling. And I am replying to that trolling. THAT is what the "Flooder Carroll circus" is.

Lines of text containing this and that, but not what is needed.

Being self-governed as it is, the listserv concept will never go away but it'll never be what it once was.

I think the point is far from just to get innocent posters to listen to him. The point is likely to piss me off for spraying outside groups he knows I frequent.

Given how often it is clear that Snit's signature is some distortion of a quote Klaus Schadenfreude shared which had been a thrashing on Snit for something he did which was stupid/wrong/etc... its truly a repeated expression of Snit's constant unease for having been so repeatedly humiliated: Snit is undeniably not able of being shown a mirror. Almost everything Snit says about anyone else is false. Who isn't aware of this by now?

The entire sham is brimming of unbelievable inconsistencies and counts heavily on Snit's 'master's degree' shenanigans.

More cult-like attacks against the competition -- maybe some day RonB
will find tasks he thinks Linux handles better than the very competition
he loathes so much.

--
Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They
cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel
somehow superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.

You are really pissing-off the "true Linux advocate", RonB!

Did you see his lame, impotent, *lie* of a response? Most people
would be ashamed to post such a weak "rebuttal", but not "Hadron".

Actually I didn't see any response from "proletariat" on any of those
Windows inferiority posts. "proletariat" must have reverted to a nym (or
email address) that I've already killfiled. So maybe it WAS him who went
ballastic last night.

Ah well, I'm about done reading his crap anyhow.

I was referring to this thread, where the asshole calling itself
"Hadron Quark" "rebutted" your OP by posting "I dont use Windows
wRonG. You do."

As I said, weak. Beyond weak.

I have everything from "Hadron" killfiled so I wouldn't see anything from
him with that nym. So I supposedly "use Windows?" You're right, that was a
lame response.

Vaguely remember that... TomB had a lot of knowledge but also some odd
holes in it.

Now Steven Petruzzellis on the other end of the phone doesn't matter. All that matters is Jeremy gets to deliver the attack. So how to respond? Don't answer the moron. Logic isn't part of sport and never has been. Why does Jeremy focus on Steven Petruzzellis's ego so much? What macOS looks like can be skinned and not worth obsessing over, especially if it's better than what Jeremy uses.

You responded with all of your cult-like anti-Windows nonsense posts. Do
not pretend you do not read posts you quite clearly do.
