Less true now than in the past but still true. It's irrelevant anyway. Hadron posts from Linux using a Linux news program. Chrisv doesn't. Hadron can discuss specifics about Linux. Chrisv cannot. The dimwit didn't know about Ubuntu's Restricted Drivers Manager, & claimed that: "Ubuntu is a pain in the hole - you need to recompile the latest NVidia drivers using a set version of the compiler, for example, when changing kernels." which was pure bullshit. It was pointed out by many *others* in AOLU that Ubuntu's Restricted Drivers Manager handled this *automatically* when the kernel is updated, so you don't have to do *anything*. I used Ubuntu at the time, & had WD SATA drives, as well as a SATA CD burner drive (Samsung), & they worked just fine. Also had an nVIDIA card which was picked up by Ubuntu's Device Manager, & it installed the drivers without any fuss. And after *that*, the moron expected people to believe he was using Debian? FFS, Ubuntu is more cutting edge than Debian, & one of the *easiest* distros to install. >> Plenty of people can't install Ubuntu. >> Less true now than in the past but still true. > > Hadron could not spill a bucket of water correctly if his life depended on > it > >> It's irrelevant anyway. >> Hadron posts from Linux using a Linux news program. > > Even for a imbecile dimbulb like Hadron it is extremely easy to *pretend* to > use a certain newsreader. > Hadron Larry has never used linux in any way.
