It should work flawlessly out of the box in all standard configurations including Nvidia drivers used by about half the Linux crowd. Of course Windows allows multiple logged-in users to run GUI apps -
including the same GUI apps - simultaneously. I'm doing it right now,
on my Win8.1 system.
My main account is running multiple GUI apps, including Excel which is
running a VBA script to populate a sheet, one cell per second.
Public Sub popsheet()
Dim i As Long, j As Long
For i = 1 To 1000
For j = 1 To 8
Sheet1.Cells(i, j) = i + j
Application.Wait (Now + TimeValue("0:00:01"))
Next j
Next i
End Sub
My 2 test accounts are also running Excel and the same script.
As I switch back and forth between accounts, leaving them all signed in,
the script doesn't halt and resume. More cells are filled each time I
switch to an account. And Task Manager shows changing CPU and memory
activity for each account.

Connect many multiple users via ssh -Y user@host This allows me to run any GUI app over the network from the host. So I could run Thunderbird, completely as a GUI app, remotely. 3. I am currently using X2Go server, client and agent to run the entire GUI desktop remotely. One host can run many multiple users from the same host simultaneously. 4. And my favorite, I have a simple Dell T130 server running multiple KVMs, each of which also run X2GO and each of those can run multiple users, full GUI desktops, remotely from each guest simultaneously. On the other hand, you kind of have to expect that with Arch since it's a rolling release.
