" While I like the look and feel of Ubuntu 26.04 LTS something can be said about the issues I encountered. Especially the crashing of applications, the disappearance of icons, and WiFi suddenly not working. None is really a deal breaker to me but I can imagine that for a beginner those are. It doesn't crash but doesn't collect mail from the STMP server. A restart fixes it. I doubt I'll go to 26.10. GNOME isn't my favorite DE and I've no desire to see how long it takes to sort out GNOME 51. The KDE 6.8 on the Tumbleweed laptop works well although I've not, and probably never will, use the new features.

What I've noticed is that after a while it doesn't show messages (the contents) in the preview pane anymore. A restart fixes this. It's still in 158.0. There is an update to 158.0.1 available, no idea if that contains a fix. > I doubt I'll go to 26.10. GNOME isn't my favorite DE and I've no desire to > see how long it takes to sort out GNOME 51. Fair. LOL! I also do like Linux, though I am grossly behind the times with it. Used to run tech in small schools and worked to add Linux labs.
