I have a Pixel Chromebook and from my experience with it I can see it still has a way to go to replace a laptop and in some cases, even a tablet. But it is still a work in progress. So is linux from an operational standpoint. I use them all at different times. My Linux is Ubuntu on my Chromebook and everything I need to do with it is there and works fine. I've talked about that here in this newsgroup. If you'll look at some of my past posts you'll see that I mostly talk about the failure of linux desktop to garner market share and seldom talk about it from a tech viewpoint. Linux today is primarily tech driven and techs don't much like marketing, so seldom do the two meet on friendly ground. -- Lloyd
