You see, the problem is that you are quoting from The Daily Jackboot.
The quoted figures include "all violent crime".
There's a hell of a lot of reported violent crime in the U.K.  Sure, we have 
football violence, we have pub brawls, and we even classify "verbal assault" 
as a violent crime.
Do try to compare like-with-like, eh?
