Did he not read this bit where it mentions NASA either?

The United Space Alliance, which manages the computers aboard the
International Space Station in association with NASA, has announced
that the Windows XP computersaboard the ISS have been switched to
Linux. “We migrated key functions from Windows to Linux because we
needed an operating system that was stable and reliable.”

> He did *not* claim that NASA dumps windows completely, you blubbering idiot.

In any case, NASA has been using Linux in its ground stations for
*years*, in fact they use RHEL & Fedora.
At the Johnson Space Center, the *only* windows machines are used for
used for emails, writing procedures, creating document & drawings as
well as storing/accessing them in various databases.
Critical facilities - Mission Control, training facilities, etc. - tend to use Redhat
so that they can get some customer support if needed.
Less critical facilities - development labs, small teams of analysts,
etc. - tend to use whatever they can get for free - CentOS, Macs,
Ubuntu, etc.
The Jet Propulsion Lab facility uses RedHat & Ubuntu on people's work
computers.
The actual spacecraft use VxWorks or Green Hills Integrity.

So tell DumbFor$ure to go boil his head.
