I want an app that can read me stuff. 

I want to be able to say "Readme blood sugar" into the motorcycle helmet
and get my glucose reading. I want to say "readme battery level", "readme
altitude"

Do you know of an app that already does that?

And if you do, what other sort of things does it readme?

It needs communicating sensors(GPS fits for altitude).

It needs the apps controlling the sensors to offer the
 communication API.

It needs application with very flexible API management and good
 speech recognition.

To summarize it .. good luck !

You actually constantly wear a skin-sensing or sensor-wire glucose
adhesive patch with transmitter?  CGM (continuous glucose monitoring) is
for those doing insulin injections or pump therapy but no point in going
to some "readme <action>" app if you are controlling your diabetes via
medication and pricking your fingers to use a conventional meter maybe
once or twice per day.  While there are conventional glucose meters that
have Bluetooth to connect to an app on a smartphone, Bluetooth is just
the communications channel (some use USB instead) but the meter uses a
protocol that only the meter and the its app can understand.  

I suspect that a transmitter patch with Bluetooth won't communicate with
anything other than the meter's app.  I see the Decxcom CGM system will
share its data with other users but that is by only using their app to
login to a shared account.  Presumably the app remembers the login
credentials, uses OAUTH2, or some other means so the followers don't
need to remember the login credentials.

Different generations of transmitters and receivers are not
interchangeable which indicates a proprietary protocol to communicate
between the two, and likely the same between the transmitter and a phone
app.  That's likely added security atop of the Bluetooth pairing.

Dexcom, in their manual, have suggested separation distances between the
transmitter and other RF devices, and that would include your Bluetooth
headset in your helmet and possibly your smartphone.  You need to check
the maximum output power of the transmitter and its RF frequency to know
how far to keep it away from your headset and smartphone.  It's not a
pacemaker, so EMF interference would only affect the ability of the
transmitter to communicate reliably with the receiver or app on a
smartphone.

While the CGM app can produce sounds for alarms or alerts which you
could hear using a Bluetooth headset paired to the smartphone, I saw
nothing about an API that other apps can use to get at the GGM app's
data.  Another app would have to screen scrape to discover what text it
could find inside the GGM app's window - assuming the CGM app's window
is visible (the app hasn't been closed and when open is atop the windows
for all other apps).  From what I see of images of the G5 app's window:

there is no text, just graphics.  The current glucose reading in the
center is likely not text but a graphical element.  Without a published
API to allow other apps to communite with the G5 CGM app, there's no way
for another app (to sound off via Bluetooth to your headset) to get at
CGM app's data that it got from the transmitter.

I've seen holders for smartphones on motorcycles.  Don't know how useful
those are since you have to remove one hand from the handlebars for a
while to tap the smartphone's screen, plus a motorcycle vibrates more
than a car.  The Dexcom system can use a smartwatch, so you could use
that instead of or in addition to a smartphone.  You'll have to remove a
hand from the handlebars for you to momentarily look at the smartwatch
(on which presumably you loaded the G5 app with it on top before you
take off on the motorcycle).  I suppose you could strap the smartwatch
onto the handlebars but that's a similar scenario to using a holder for
a phone; however, with a smartwatch on your wrist, you're less likely to
leave it (or a smartphone) on your motorcycle when you leave it.  Also,
since the app can make the device vibrate, you'd might feel that
vibration whereas the noise level in the helmet might preclude you
hearing a sound via Bluetooth to the smartphone or smartwatch.

I think you're stuck with using their app on a smartphone or smartwatch
to see what your CGM transmitter is currently reporting.  The CGM app's
display is graphical, so no way to screen scrape its data.  No API in
the CGM app, so no way for other apps to get at its data.  I only saw
mention of alert sounds, notifications (on the screen), and vibrate mode
for the app.  Vibrate you could feel if the smartphone or smartwatch was
against your body.  The helmet headset when Bluetooth paired to the
smartphone or smartwatch should let you hear the audible alerts.

As for something like "readme altitude", I tried using "OK Google ... my
altitude" on my smartphone but that doesn't give me my current altitude.
I can use "OK Google ... weather" to see and hear the current weather
where I am, but it didn't work to get my current altitude.  While I can
see elevation when looking at Google Maps for a route via cycling or
walking, that would require a lot of finger tapping which would be tough
while riding a motorcycle.

That guy notes the Pirelli app (http://diabloapp.pirelli.com/web/) can
track your altitude.  Couldn't find it at the Google Play Store.
However, tracking is not the same as on-demand voice-activated
reporting.  I've not gotten much into voice-command control but did find

If that adds a microphone icon to an app, you can tap it and then say
your voice command using your Bluetooth headset paired to your phone.
Basically you're using the Google Assistant to convert voice commands
into finger taps in the app.  There are plenty of altimeter, altitude,
or elevation apps (e.g., My Elevation by RDH) you can try with this
voice-open method.

If that doesn't work, there are voice-command apps that try to let you
control your apps.  For example:

This one seems really just a voice-activated app launcher.  You could
maybe use it to open an altimeter app that, by default, shows your
current elevation (but whether that app sounds off the elevation for you
to hear via Bluetooth to your helmet headset depends on the app).  Yet
you have to load the voice-command app beforehand, like before you take
off on your motorcycle, so it is available for it to load other apps.
If you have to tap a voice-command app to launch other apps, you could
just as well as tap the other app, like an altimeter or elevation app
app (altimeter app uses the sensor in the phone versus elevation apps
that use your GPS location to lookup the elevation in that spot which
means you must have a data connection there).

Rather than tapping to activate a voice-command app before taking a trip
or see if Google Assistant will work with whatever altimeter/altitude
app you like, there are many "dashboard" apps that let you display just
a few select apps with much larger icons.  That lets you focus on just
the apps you want to use while driving.  If there's something Bluetooth
in your vehicle that turns on only when you turn on the engine, you can
use a dashboard app that loads when it sees the pairing between your
phone and the vehicle.  I used to have a dashboard app like that: loaded
when the phone paired to my car via Bluetooth, showed large buttons for
the apps I configured for it to show, and had multiple scrollable
screens if I wanted to group the apps based on their function.  It also
had rudimentary voice-command control over opening the apps it was
configured to show.  Instead of a voice-command app to load all apps,
this dashboard app had voice commands just for apps it showed.  Either
way, if the loaded app reported what you wanted in its home window then
all you have to do is load the app.  For example, you could have the
voice-control or dashboard app load your CGM app by voice command which
would load it and have it on top, so you could hear via Bluetooth its
alerts.  

Sorry, don't remember the name of the voice-controlled dashboard or car
dock app that I used for a short time.  DriveMode will auto-load on
Bluetooth pairing or when you start moving (your GPS changes) but no
mention of voice control over loading of apps.  I also didn't see
mention of adding your own apps, like an altimeter/elevation or CGM app.
Seems to provide integration with only certain types of apps: music,
messaging, & maps.  Maybe it was Ultimate Car Dock but I remember using
a free version, not a trial.

I eventually decided to create a homescreen on my Android phone that was
just for car stuff and spaced out the app icons to make it easy to
target with a finger while driving.  Plus I found the Google Assistant
can open apps by saying "Ok Google ... open <appname>".  I have the
ParKing and Gas Guru apps, along with many others, and I can talk to my
phone to open them by saying "Ok Google ... open parking" or "Ok Google
... open gas guru".  By installing an altimeter and/or elevation app,
you should be able to load it by saying "Ok Google ... open accurate
altimeter" (if you install that app).  Alas, some apps have the same
name.  I suspect Google Assistant's 'open' action uses the icon's or
shortcut's name but Android doesn't let you rename it.  Some other
launchers do, however (e.g., Nova), along with some apps (e.g.,
QuickShortcutMaker) as well as APK editor apps.

That describes how to change icon size; however, it is global across all
homescreens, not just for one of them.

The CGM app issues sounds and vibrates the phone.  A Bluetooth headset
in your helmet should let you hear that app's alert sounds.  Without an
API in the CGM app, no other app is going to get at the CGM app's data.
Voice control on loading (opening) other apps, like altimeter/altitude,
would let you load them on top of other apps to see them on your phone,
and if their home window showed you the data you wanted then no having
to tap to navigate into the app.  Since both the CGM and altitude apps
very likely have graphical displays, you can't use text-to-speech
recognition.  I've yet to find any "talking" altimeter/altitude apps but
I haven't looked at all of them.  I found the VOG Altimeter that speaks
but that's for skydiving to let you know where you are in a fall.

you suspect wrong. if a btle device uses standard btle services, there
is no restriction on which app can be used.
