That's exactly how we all know you never owned a motorcycle.

Do you also drive an airplane?

"Yes. It’s a term used between us aviators and only understood by us.
Language has to be taken in context. I’ve been an aircraft “driver”
since 1965. It’s only a way of expressing what you do. You don’t “drive”
an airplane. Actually, the airplane will fly without you. You just have
to control it. So now you’re “driving”"

Stop bullshitting!

Neither in California nor elsewhere in the developped world is oil on
the road.

Then what material is that black strip down the center of the lane made
of? Hint: It drips out of cars.

Hint: It does not drip out of cars. It is dust, tire rubber, silicone
etc. The same mixture that lets your windshield wiper smear when you use
it the first time after a dry period.

Before I forget it: I do not discuss with anonymous people that use
anonymous news-servers.

My cite is NOT from the US. You can tell by the spelling of "centre".

Yeah, but that's an Aussie website and the Aussies don't *have* roads!
[1]

[1] I should know, because I've driving there 'several times around the
globe'. My Aussie car isn't a 4WD (small) truck for nothing, you know!

Granted, newer cars don't drip [much] oil, but there are plenty of older
cars left. I would think that tire rubber would be laid down in the
strips at the side where the tires actually ride rather than in the center.

What I don't understand is the film on the inside of the windshield if
we're not smokers. The way windshields are raked now it's a real bitch
to clean them.

Please note that Joerg lives in a civilzed country where they make
cars which don't leak all kinds of stuff!

IME any topic that goes for more than a few days or a ton of messages
has gone OT and probably into personal attacks. So I don't even open those
for the most part. I avoid most of the fights that way.

  Quite ironic:

The biggest troll/kook of them all, recently looked for help in
news.software.readers to try to get rid of *other* 'trolls'! :-)

Because he was as clueless and obnoxious as always, he got his
posterior handed to him on a platter. This time, he couldn't do his
normal 'troll', 'moron', etc. spiel on his 'opponent', because that
would have made him look even sillier than normal.

  Karma!

The post by the Mr. Bev was a troll.

In a thread of a dozen comments, one third of them are yours.

That means you are a bigger troll than is the Mr. Bev.

Would be absolutely no problem if all users in this group would make
maximum use of the filter capabilities of their news-clients.
