There's an apocryphal tale of guys trying to steal an ATM by attaching
it to their pickup's bumper with chains and the bumper (with license
plate) being found the next morning still attached to the ATM.

Less than that here. I like shopping there. The idea of having to buy
toilet paper only once a year is pleasant.

DAMN, you're sensitive! The problem with the exit lines is the fact
that it's a LINE. I'd say they're as worthless as they appear to be,
except that one of the exitdroids discovered that I hadn't paid for
something in the cart and I had to go back and pay for it. I blame the
checker -- aren't they supposed to NOTICE if you forget something in
your cart?
Mostly they just go through the motions. "43 items? Yeah, that's about
right..."

No. The problem with the exit lines is the fact that it's TWO lines: one for the cashier (checkout line), the other for the comparison of items on the register tape against items in your shopping bags (security line). *Both* lines are long, *both* lines are unavoidable, *both* lines are time-consuming, and the security line was run in as demeaning a way as it could possibly have been run. Once, OK. But then never again, thank you. But never mind, they need my business as little as I need their services, particularly since all you chickens love to roost there :-) . Clearly Costco noticed that too many were not paying for everything in their cart, so have made the calculation that it's worth it to employ additional staff and risk losing custom. I once accidentally stole a toothbrush from Salisbury's , I only noticed it at the bottom of my trolley when loading the car. I could have gone back and paid the £1.50 , but I decided against it.

With Citibank Double Cash it's 2% on everything and you go online to redeem the rewards as a credit to your account in any amount. One feature from Citibank Double Cash, that I use a lot, is the virtual account numbers. Not many cards offer this. only citibank and bank of america offer virtual account numbers. the downside is that the web interface to use it requires flash, which is becoming increasingly rare and it's not possible to create a virtual number at all on a mobile device, not even with their apps.

Again. I obviourly did not understand any of the techyniucal documents I went thorugh when particiapting in the Canadian net neutrality regulatory process. Never. You're just wrong. > Or did T-Mobile magically stop throttling anything it thinks is > "video" down to 1.2mbps ? T-mobile doesn't throttle video. It will sent, I think 480p, video to your phone from places like Youtube or Vimeo, I believe. It doesn't affect the 1080p stream coming off my Synology. Of course, video off my synology gets counted against my unlimited data while video from youtube is zero rated. >>> I think it's $20 if you wish to tether at more than 2G speeds. >> No. > When did that stop Since it never started, I have no idea how to answer that. >> No. You have no idea what you are talking about. It's also possible that T-mobile doesn't operate in Canada. You know, because T-Mobile doesn't operate in Canada. > T-Mobile was studied extensively as Vidéotron tried to copy them. That's nice. I've been on t-mobile for many years. I do not have a problem streaming video from my server. I am not throttled to 2G speeds when tethering or using my phone as a hotspot. I do not spend $25 extra per month to watch video. In short, nothing you said was accurate at all. As usual. -- "If this is the best God can do, I'm not impressed."

Different video providers can strike deals whereby they will downsample the videos themselves so that they fit insiude the 1.2mbps stream limit. Those who do not have automatic dynamic stream quality adjustments continue to send original content, but because stream is speed limited, the end user see show bits of video, followed by pause while it buffers more etc. I could look up the URL but this was submitted as part of net neutrality hearing in canada this pas fall by both myself and Baraba vav Schewick, an expect from the USA (whose job got immensely more difficult on Nov 8). T-Mobile has tech specs document for video providers on its web site and it details what they do. > Of course, video off my > synology gets counted against my unlimited data while video from youtube is it encrypted or sent via some form of tunnel/VPN ? If you wish to be exempt from the throttling, you need to pay T-Mobile extra. And with trump set to kill anyt net neutrality, expect things to get much worse. They'll throttle anything and everything unless yo pay fees to access specific web sites. And that won't be just T-Mobile, expect wireline incumbenrst to do the same to try to monetize other people,s content, just as cable companies monetize TV channels. > That's nice. You'd have to ask Plex, DS Video, and Air Video programmers how they send the video to their iOS apps. > If you wish to be exempt from the throttling, you need to pay T-Mobile > extra. Nope. Not unless I want youtube to go through at HD, and I don't care about anything on YouTube. 480p is fine for 99.9999% of that, and I hardly ever use it anyway. But regardless, you're claim that you have to pay $25/m for video on T-Mobile was nothing bu a lie. >> That's nice. I've been on t-mobile for many years.
