I have an unlocked Blu Studio 5.0 II with Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2. I am guessing that it is stock Android what is installed on the phone as I bought it on Amazon.com. As it is now, I cannot control the intensity of the phone vibrations or ring tones. So, I am looking for an app that will allow me to do just that. I also need a recommendation for an app that will make the phone vibrate or beep every few minutes whenever I have a voice mail message or unread text message (SMS). Thanks. -- tb

On my Android 4.3 phone, there is a setting for vibration intensity. Settings > My Device > Sound > Vibration intensity > a. Incoming call b. Notification c. Haptic feedback Those three settings are sliders. Likewise, there is a slider for the Ringtone volume: Settings > My Device > Sound > Volume > a. Music, vieo, games and other media b. Ringtone c. Notifications d. System` Do you not have those settings?

It might have been introduced after Android 4.2.2, or who knows why... Yesterday, I did find an app, called "Prof Reminder", that will make my phone vibrate or ring every few seconds/minutes/hours whenever I have an unread text message or voice mail. Now I need to find an app that controls the intensity of phone vibrations and ring tones... -- tb

Volume Ace Free by BrainCrash Soft works for me. I can also use built-in settings to adjust the volumes etc. but volume ace lets me create profiles to switch amongst with a widget.

Great. I'll download it this evening and see. Do you know if the app controls the intensity of vibrations too or only the volume of the ring tone? -- tb

Here, by way of contrast, is what the Android 4.3 menus look like: http://i.cubeupload.com/l8L36C.gif

It does allow to control the intensity of ring tones, though. -- tb
