I have the original hard plastic casing, plus three much nicer rubber casings shown in the previous photo, plus one full case (front and back), which had a flip cover (like a book), which I didn't like (it got in the way of the camera). Luckily no case cost more than a buck or three. I also have a bevy of microSD cards, simply because I use them as archival media. In fact, I have so many 32GB microSD cards for this phone that at one point I bought a 128GB card, but it kept corrupting the files even though it was a brand name card. I think the S3 doesn't support 128GB so that might have been the reason for the corruption, which stopped when I replaced it with the current 32GB Sandisk card. For the car, I usually use the 2-port cigarette adapters, each of which is 2.1 Amps (which used to be really difficult to find - but getting easier over time). Unfortunately, I've blown out three of them to date, each time when on a long trip using map software with both the iPad and phone running concurrently (bluetoothing to a visor-mount Motorola speakerphone). So, even though these Frys adapters 'say' they're concurrently 2.1 Amps, apparently they're not. Luckily, they only cost about five bucks, and the replacements are free so it only cost me five bucks and they work just fine for years in all other conditions (I have them in the wife's car too and she never blows hers up).

I have this sensible Samsung system for removable batteries <http://tinyurl.com/j8on3eo>. I can charge one and swap it over each day. They dropped it with the S6 so I won't replace my S5 with a Samsung.

I certainly don't need that camera, so I don't bother. And for the battery, I simply have several USB external battery packs, i.e. one big one with 10400mAh (sufficient for about 3 full charges of an iPhone 6) and small one with 2600mAh, sufficient for almost one full charge). Ah yes, and there's one with 5x00mAh which I got for free. The 10400mAh one cost me (IIRC about a year ago) ~25€ (~27$), the other one was less than 10€. > Pictures requested (since we prove what we say). Forget it. :-) Best regards, Michael

This is great to know that the Apple replacement batteries (probably aftermarket, but that's fine) are as cheap as the Android batteries are (after all, it's just a battery). In fact, I have a relative with three iPads, two of which exhibit battery life issues, that I may consider sending a battery! 1. iPad bought in 2010 (no camera) stuck on iOS 5.x with lousy battery life 2. iPad bought in 2012 with camera, on iOS 9, with medium battery life 3. iPad mini bought in 2014 with iOS 9 with great battery life I may send her a battery for the iPad stuck forever on iOS 5, but I'd have to line up someone else to put it in for her.
