SubjectThe best USA postpoad cellphone service plan deals available today
Message-ID<nrrr7s$1siq$1@gioia.aioe.org>
These are the best cell phone plans and deals out there
* Best Cell Phone Deals for 2016 (September 19, 2016)
** http://www.clark.com/best-cell-phone-deals-for-2016

* The Best Cheap Cell Phone Plans (June 21, 2016)
* http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2375644,00.asp

Below is a cut-and-paste summary of the big-five in the USA from that first
article above (exclusive of government fees).

Using *those numbers*, the net for a family of 4 is the following:
1. Google Fi ($120/month, some of which is refunded)
2. T-Mobile ($140/month)
3. Sprint ($180/month)
4. Verizon ($200/month)
5. AT&T ($220/month)

* Google Fi *
$20/month for each phone line
$10/month for each phone line for each 1GB data (refunded if unused)
(special phones required)

* T-Mobile *
$140 a month unlimited service for a family of 4

* Sprint *
The Sprint Unlimited Freedom plan is $60/month for a single line of
unlimited unlimited voice, text and LTE data. A second line will be $40.

* 4. Verizon *
$50/month unlimited talk, text and 4 GB data

* 3. AT&T *
$55/month unlimited talk, text and 2GB data for each line

If you know of a *better* post-paid unlimited talk/text plan (with some
data) for a family of 4, please advise so that everyone benefits from your
effort.

do your own research, and better is different for each person anyway.
there is no single 'best' plan.

You are, as always, spectacularly unhelpful.
At least you're consistently unhelpful.

Notice I *did* do research, and I summarized accurately what the arcticle
said, and that I did so for all to benefit.

For example, this is a *current* offer from T-Mobile:
http://i.cubeupload.com/mblBtd.jpg

By way of contrast, you *never* do research, and you *never* post for
others to benefit. Your purpose is *always* negative.

You never try to help the team.
It's just your personality, through and through.

You will never change.
You're almost certainly as selfish and nonhelpful in real life also.
Rod Speed will almost certainly be as unhelpful as you are.

To my point, each of us can help the others with the details of *our*
favorite cellular supplier.

For example, did you know that T-mobile has a promotion right now for:
https://explore.t-mobile.com/t-mobile-one
- Four phones at $140/month (autopay) T-Mobile ONE promo
- Unlimited talk & text
- UNLIMITED DATA (+ 1 hour of GOGO Airplane) + unlimited 3G tethering
  (fine print says throttling may occur after 26GB per line per month)
  (asking them what "tethering" means to *them*, it's "access point")
- Additional $25/line for unlimited 4GLTE tethering
- no current expiration date but it's a limited offer

you might think you have, but the evidence says otherwise.

the bigger problem is you consistently fail to understand what you
claim to have read and then go off on a rant about what it isn't.

> For example, this is a *current* offer from T-Mobile:
> http://i.cubeupload.com/mblBtd.jpg

that's not a particularly compelling or attractive offer and you might
want to do some 'research' as to what 'unlimited' really means.

why should i help someone who is obnoxious and insulting and does not
understand what's suggested?

if you think that's a good deal, you have not understood the 'research'
you claim to have done.

and how often are you even on a plane where you would benefit from 1
hour of gogo internet anyway, something that's only worth $5.

fyi, complimentary gogo for the entire flight (not just one hour) is
not that hard to find, if you know where to look.

I did.
It's 26GB according to T-Mobile, whom I had asked the question of.

What do *you* think it means, or, are you just being girlishly coy yet
again, purely for attention reasons?

I wipe out my OS monthly, and I guess something switched the Avast ad on.
I think. Dunno exactly why yet.
Will troubleshoot. Thanks!

Even sillier than you usually manage with your stupid restriction.

Because when I have actually been stupid enough to spell out
where you can do much better than the way you stupidly do
things already, you just ignore that completely.

You waving around a grandfathered plan that isnt available
anymore does nothing of the sort, you silly little pathological liar.

And you've never had the balls to admit that it isnt
available if you want to swap that 6 for a 7 either.

And only a fool too stupid to even noticed that that has
had the plan fee jacked up to pay for the 'free' phone swap.

The fact that I did *not* mention the grandfathered plan proves that you
have zero desire to be helpful, or to even *understand* what was posted.

While nospam is always girlishly coy as a ploy for attention, what you do
is call everyone a liar, even when *you* make more mistakes than anyone
else does.

You are, as always, spectacularly closed minded and unhelpful.
Only Elfin and I provided *value* to people here:

Elfin - Google Fi & Verizon details (which he knows well)
me - T-Mobile deals (which I know well)

For example, Elfin corrected the Verizon numbers with better insight, and
even I corrected the T-Mobile numbers after calling T-Mobile just now on
their "T-Mobile ONE" plan with autopay:

https://explore.t-mobile.com/t-mobile-one
- Four phones at $140/month (autopay) T-Mobile ONE promo
- Unlimited talk & text
- UNLIMITED DATA (+ 1 hour of GOGO Airplane) + unlimited 3G tethering
  (fine print says throttling may occur after 26GB per line per month)

http://i.cubeupload.com/mblBtd.jpg

What help did *you* provide?
None. As always.

Are you as consistently spectacularly unhelpful in real life?

   Nope. While Rod - understandably - gets sick of your ignorance/
cluelessness/stupidity - and hence uses less diplomatic wording -, he
*is* correct!

  You limit yourself to the *carriers* (network providers) and Google Fi
(assuming that Google is not a carrier), but ignore the multitude of
*resellers*, which are mentioned in the very same references which *you*
provided. Ignoring the bulk of the material in your own references is
rather silly, don't you agree!?

  The only reasonable conclusion is that you don't know the difference
between a carrier and a reseller and that your severe case of Dunning-
Kruger effect makes you emit gratituous insults instead of asking
questions.

  So if you're looking for someone to blame, look in the mirror [1].

  BTW, did you already do the VOIP over WiFi test without the SIM?

[More instances of Dunning-Kruger effect deleted.]

[1] Not only in this case, but for *all* your 'problems.

To your point, the article (and others that I've read on Google Fi) agree
with you that Google Fi isn't competitive yet with the "Big Four".
- Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint

The main reason I put Google Fi in that mix is that it's essentially
T-Mobile anyway - so it's really just another way to use T-Mobile's
network, with at the worst, the same coverage as T-Mobile.

While I have had most of the other big ones (T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T),
and while I'm new to the Google Fi concept, I think I have a handle on
Google Fi (thanks to your advice) that I didn't have just a few days ago -
and - while I also don't see Google Fi as competitive - the price certainly
is along the line of what you get with the others for a family of 4 with
unlimited talk/text and "some" data.

NOTE: The reason I say "some" data is that, unless the data is unlimited,
each plan has varying amounts and some allow sharing, others refund unused
data, etc., so, I can't put out an exact amount of data because all the
plans are different when it comes to data.

Unfortunately, Google Fi won't do *just* the tablet, but T-Mobile *will* do
*just* a free 200MB/month data SIM for all USA tablets.

So, unless you get a *great* deal on tablet data, the 200MB/month free is a
pretty good deal in and of itself. In fact, with Google Hangouts/GV, you
turn the iPad into a "real" phone, with its own phone number which is both
callable from POTS lines and which can call, for free, POTS lines.

That free T-Mobile data-only SIM doesn't work in Europe though (ask me how
I know), so, as always, the devil is in the details.

Pretty similar to T-Mobile's new plan for a family of four.

Thanks for the additional input, as I only know t-mobile well, and T-Mobile
doesn't do the *shared* data thing (which would be very useful when adults
and teens are involved - where the teens can suck up all the data).

We all appreciate your purposefully helpful Verizon corrections, just as
you can appreciate my connection with T-Mobile for their *best* deals.

In fact, if only 3 or 4 other helpful people post (one from each of the
other carriers), we'd have an excellent summary for *everyone* to benefit
from.

But, if the entire thread is from the likes of nospam and Rod Speed, each
of whom must be commended on the consistency of their repeatable selfish
unhelpfulness, then *nobody* will benefit from this thread.

Adding your Verizon data to the original research, and re-ordering by price
(best to worst), here is the first correction, for the benefit of all, as
always:

1. Google Fi ($120/month, some of which is refunded if data is unused)
2. Verizon ($130/month)
3. T-Mobile ($140/month)
4. Sprint ($180/month)
5. AT&T ($220/month)

* Google Fi *
$20/month for each phone line
$10/month for each phone line for each 1GB data (refunded if unused)
(special phones required)

* Verizon *
$130/month ($80/month for 4 phones at $20/month/phone + $50 for 4Gb of
*shared* data)
Or, 8Gb+2GB/phone on account = $70, so for $150, the family of four could
share in 16Gb of data

* T-Mobile *
$140 a month unlimited data & access point for a family of 4 (with autopay)
Details here (and in my other posts in this thread):
http://i.cubeupload.com/mblBtd.jpg

* Sprint *
The Sprint Unlimited Freedom plan is $60/month for a single line of
unlimited unlimited voice, text and LTE data. A second line will be $40.

* AT&T *
$55/month unlimited talk, text and 2GB data for each line

If you know of a *better* post-paid unlimited USA talk/text plan (with some
data) for a family of 4, please advise so that everyone benefits from your
effort.
