is it possible to extract ringtones (neon & happy) from my phone? I'd like

both phones aren't rooted

You have my sympathies.

I think you can extract the ringtones from your Android. Which phone(s)
are we talking about?

On my Tracfone LG Android phone I find the stock ringtones and other
system sounds in /system/media/audio/ . I think this location is
protected, so you can't add or delete anything there, but you can copy
the audio files elsewhere or email them. The stock tones are all in
.ogg format.

For Android, the ringtones are merely files which you can find and copy to
anywhere you like using the freeware ES File Explorer on any unrooted or
rooted device.

For example, I just clicked with ES File Explorer on
/mnt/sdcard0/notifications/Pinger.mp3 and it played a quick ringtone.

Clicking on /mnt/sdcard0/Ringtones/sideline_ringtone.mp played a longer
ringtone (like the type that comes out of a music box).

You can also just hit the ES File Explorer search button for MP3 and it
should find a few. I don't know if ringtones use other extensions, but they
might, so, search for them also.

I can't help you on iOS because Apple hides far more stuff from you than
does Android - so let us know what you find out.
