Then you might try to configure it to use POP, although I can't recommend it. And with POP configure it - if possible - "Leave mail on server", to control deletion on a real computer. -p

I don't know of a single client that doesn't cache at least some mail locally. In order to save space most will cache only the latest n days worth. Even the piece of shit outlook app on Android does it. > Back to the laptop..... >

I went to check an email and found that the Mail app doesn't store mail locally, just down-loads it when you read it! Is there no other mail app. that you can use? I presume this is an RT device, so not full Windows, and restricted to the Windows store for apps? I've never used the Windows Mail app., preferring to use Thunderbird. Maybe there is some configuration item which allows local caching of mail. There are many mail clients for Android, some of which allow local caching.

It's possible, with some preparatory grunt-work: get the things you need to switch among to appear as web pages, and open up a fresh browser tab for each one of them. It's relatively easy to switch among open browser tabs, and that may help serve your purpose here. Cheers, -- tlvp -- Avant de repondre, jeter la poubelle, SVP.

You have experience with *all* Android devices to be able to make such a general comment? For one, at least Samsung S3 thru S7 offer precisely that: start and quit the apps you need, press "Recent" and you can fast-switch between them all. -p

They all have a "Recent" button of some sort but as far as I can tell have to reload a document each time I want to look at it. I have dusted off my Lenovo Tab 2 which runs Windows 8.1 and although it's not a good OS for a tablet it does have all the documents I need in the taskbar. -- Jeff Gaines Wiltshire UK The facts, although interesting, are irrelevant

You could bring three of your devices and use each one for the different tasks required in your meeting ;)
