Refurbished. It is 300€ new, here.
I have bought refurbished things here, I'm happy. A printer, a computer 
display... just not tried Amazon for this.

I think it can be adjusted. In mine, the power button displays a quick 
menu with 4 options: emergency, lock, power down, reboot.

If you activate the feature, when you put the phone face down on a table 
it goes to DND mode.

If you have a folding case, it does not detect the table. Instead, put 
the phone flat on the table, open, then close by folding the phone side 
over the cover.

I think it can be made to beep or vibrate when activating DND.

There is an app in new Motorolas that, based on your profile, installs 
apps that it thinks you may like. You have to be careful with the 
wording, be careful to just read the offering and not install anything 
you really do not want. I don't really know the name of the tool.
