Quickie: do you need to have a fixed IP for this? Or are the transfer
done only inside the LAN?

I had no need for an SD cards in my phone for a long time (over a
decade). However, in my new tablet I did install one, because I wanted
to store many movies. I do not store movies in a phone, the display is
too small.
