I'm trying to use blutooth to stream music from a couple of Android
devices using VLC for Android as the player.
I'm getting several strange (and annoying) effects when doing this,
these are definitely down to the Bluetooth connection as a direct
wired connection works without showing any of these effects.
The problems are as follows:-
There's a strange sort of 'whoosh' noise at the start and end of
each track.
If you turn the volume up the sound breaks up completely (turn up
at the amplifier that is). The amplifier *isn't* being overloaded
so I really can't understand this effect. How does turning the
volume up at the receiving end affect the sound? It's not
clipping or anything, the sound is overwhelmed by what sounds like
a noisy volume control.
On one device (Moto E, Android 5.1) the connection drops
completely for a few seconds at varying intervals. Moving the
Bluetooth receiver about doesn't seem to make any difference.
I would emphasise that these problems are *only* when playing via
Bluetooth, there is no 'whoosh' when directly connected and I can turn
the volume up to painful levels without significant distortion. The
noises occur on both Android devices so it wouldn't seem to be a fault
on just one of them.
