Which version of Kies3 do you have? When I switched from Vista to 8.1, I got the latest version - 3.2.15072_2 - and that looks quite a bit different (and I don't think that's because of 8.1). When you start that Kies3 version, you get a popup about something called 'Smart Switch', which seems sort of a (partial?) replacement for Kies[3]. Smart Switch' main purpose seems to be to move stuff from one Android device to another, where the destination probably always is a Samsung device, but (AFAICT) the from device can be a non-Samsung or Samsung device. Anyway, this is the page for Smart Switch: <http://www.samsung.com/us/smart-switch> BTW, I use Kies3 for my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and it works fine (FSVSVO 'fine', because AFAIC, *all* this kind of stuff sucks big time, i.e. the HiSuite crap for Huawei devices is even worse, if that's at all possible).
