  Which version of Kies3 do you have?

  When I switched from Vista to 8.1, I got the latest version -
3.2.15072_2 - and that looks quite a bit different (and I don't think
that's because of 8.1).

  When you start that Kies3 version, you get a popup about something
called 'Smart Switch', which seems sort of a (partial?) replacement for
Kies[3]. Smart Switch' main purpose seems to be to move stuff from one
Android device to another, where the destination probably always is a
Samsung device, but (AFAICT) the from device can be a non-Samsung or
Samsung device.

  Anyway, this is the page for Smart Switch:

<http://www.samsung.com/us/smart-switch>

  BTW, I use Kies3 for my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and it works fine (FSVSVO
'fine', because AFAIC, *all* this kind of stuff sucks big time, i.e. the
HiSuite crap for Huawei devices is even worse, if that's at all
possible).

[...]

  And yes, let's go there and leave no survivors!
