Jesus. That reminds of a friend who wrote a LISP interpreter in MUMPS.

Heard just yesterday: "All languages eventually converge to Lisp."

A quick search also brought up "Whoever does not understand LISP, is
doomed to reinvent it!"

The early mouse is now a late mouse of course.

I've long admired lisp, scheme in particular. The better I understand
it, the more respect I have for it.

To think that the ultimate software engineering truth was enunciated in
1936 by Alonso Church. The rest is just commentary.

Then there's the only function you ever need:

   (define iota
       (lambda (x)
         ((x (lambda (x)
               (lambda (y)
                 (lambda (z)
                   ((x y) (x z))))))
          (lambda (x) (lambda (y) x)))))

Seems interesting. Although I remember using Sawfish briefly in the
1990s, it was also done in Lisp. I wonder if there's any relation?
