All -

I posted a couple things here to comp.misc (obviously), and a couple of
things over at misc.news.internet.discuss (henceforth m.n.i.d.). And I
almost immediately ran into the question of 'what goes where?'

I tried to keep on comp.misc issues directly related to computers,
mobile phones, security, OSes, and developer platforms.

On m.n.i.d. I tried to separate out stuff about non-computing tech, so
biology/evolution, astronomy, entertainment (the minecraft as movie
post). I also decided to henceforth dump social media articles there,
so expect no more Facebook stuff on comp.misc, I think.

Another poster (JAB), has put some interesting articles up about
security issues including cell phone tracking, and the semi-obligatory
penis implant post. Have fun!

Let's see if this works. But I myself enjoy the astronomy articles that
used to hit Slashdot, and that makes me think the diversity of what's
interesting (to me at least) strengthens my interest in proposing
misc.news.scitech, which would allow us to put everything in the same
place. No vote needed (too soon), but let's try this for a while and
see if it works. If it doesn't, or if by splitting the pool we also
split and weaken the conversation, perhaps we should think about
misc.news.scitech.

Happy reading. Now I've got to get back to my day job :)
