Excellent trilogy. SoZ is one of my favourite SF books, ever.

And I suspect it would be rather more than 200,000,000. And there is isn't
room on Zanzibar any more.

Free contraception on request would be useful.  If welfare moms can make 
a profit by producing another child, draw the limit at 2.  Make legal 
immigration difficult and illegal immigration impossible.

Culling is clearly impractical as well as improper.  Preventing births, 
however, is neither.

Aren't we already selling weapons to African crazies?

If you could prove systematic errors in billing in the companies
favor, you'd have a major news story and a great opportunity to
sell short.

I simply look at my statements to spot things that should not be there.
I've got near 100% of my bills on auto-pay and it makes me happy.
Now my paper check supply lasts for years.
