I've seen copies of the Onion _in print_ distributed freely on
Washington streets, I believe someone took a copy into Congress, debated
an issue printed as fact, and promptly made an ass of himself.

Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, the Onion print edition ended about
a year ago and is now digital only. It's not as good as it was a decade
ago, with a new generation of writers, but every now and then they hit a
soft spot. Still worth checking out, even though now they only give you
10 free articles a month or some crap like that.

This site is funny, in that depressing way where you are again reminded
how gullible and stupid many people are, and that they vote for your
political leaders :(

I LOVE their choice of name for the website though. Every time someone
misuses the word "literally" in the 21st century, God kills a baby.
Literally.

Looks like that refuge if the intelligentsia, facebook, is taking the
issue seriously:

Unlike some of us.

A lot of people complain about Facebook. (Actually, I do too). But you
can think of it as a sink or honeypot where all the people who would
fall for a joke like a 9000 km roller coaster. That frees up a lot of
other forums for the rest of us.

(A friend pointed out how much attention was paid to the article about
turtle cock, though. What's up with that?)

Whenever I read anything about turtles or tortoises, I am taken to a QI
program...
