Anyone who uses a bank which just accepts date of birth and address as identity verification is off their trolley. If I'm not personally present at the bank, and I'm accessing it over the internet, I expect them to have given me a one-time-password toy that I can use. -- "Once you adopt the unix paradigm, the variants cease to be a problem - you bitch, of course, but that's because bitching is fun, unlike M$ OS's, where bitching is required to keep your head from exploding." - S Stremler in afc

Get ready for a PayPal crisis next. Many people got their paypal accounts in order to pay for something on Ebay (the two services gained popularity at about the same time) so it's almost certain that a percentage of users decided on the same name and password for each service. Anybody stupid enough to have chosen that long-derided practice is now probably noticing their Paypal account has been used for nefarious purposes - or drained - as well. Bad times!
