The Justice Department on Monday filed unprecedented criminal charges
against the members of the Chinese military, accusing them of
economic espionage by hacking into the computers of U.S. companies
involved in nuclear energy, steel manufacturing and solar energy.

   [...]

Chinese officials have accused the U.S. of hypocrisy, noting that
disclosures by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden suggested that
the U.S. had monitored and hacked into Chinese phone and Internet
   companies.

This is just more proof that the US "Justice" Department is staffed by
delusional people. A delusion might be comfortable, and the "Justice"
Department might be able to force US citizens and other hapless suckers
into sharing in the delusion to some degree, but what is the point of this
exercise?

It is merely a political maneuver to justify the intrusions and other
illegal behavior by the NSA. First it was the Commies that everyone had
to be scared of. Then it was terrorists (and especially those or Arabic
ethnicity and/or Islamic religion). And now it's Chinese hackers.

It's the US government. They'll always have some excuse, and if none
validly exists, they'll create it themselves. Look at all the armed
conflicts of the last two decades, and start with Ukraine/Crimea. (The
Maidan snipers were shooting at both sides of the conflict, and the
Russians arrested a US Navy SEAL in Crimea.)
