Here [1]'s a nice comparison of how the most popular apps add users ('User
Onboarding') and what they do wrong.

I was looking forward to this article, but it turns out to be a column of 40 or so popular web apps with dozens of commented screenshots each, all organized in "click for next slide" format. That makes it almost totally unusable - I was hoping for a summary with some insightful conclusions; instead it's a huge amount of work. What's the point? Also, the screenshot format is javascript intensive, apparently, which made my fan come on. That's usually like a "navigate away from this page!" warning indicator on my machine. So I did.

Getting more ads shoved in your face is most likely the point of these annoying websites...but yours was a rhetorical question, wasn't it? And they wonder why the first thing I install is an ad-blocker... _/_ / v \ Scott Alfter (remove the obvious to send mail) (IIGS( http://alfter.us/ Top-posting! \_^_/ >What's the most annoying thing on Usenet?
