Incidentally, what's your gripe about the USB interface?  Honestly
curious - is it the fact that 99% of the time, you wind up sticking the
plug in the wrong way, or something more fundamental that that?

I'd think compared to what it replaced for common use peripherals -
PS/2, parallel, and serial - USB is an improvement, though there's room
to grow.
