Just for a lark, I logged into this group via blocknews, a NSP that has
retention back to 2009.  Nothing but robospam posts from 2009 until
February of this year.  <crickets> chirp, chirp, chirp </crickets>.

It occurs to me too that this site is a fantastic gateway drug: people
not familiar with Usenet land here, find a healthy community pointing
them to other interesting groups in other topics.  And they explore and
learn.  Maybe that pisses off the oldies.  Or maybe we oldies rejoice in
the fact that new people come to enjoy something we think is valuable.
