Two interesting things from the ad shown that doesn't get mention in the
text: "TV picture tube disarms when ignition switch is turned to 'on'",
so you're not going to watch as you drive as the article implies. And
"VCR jack lets you record and playback TV programs on any video tape
recorder". That would be even more of a Holy Grail in a car...

Probably the real market was RVs that people actually lived out of;
those are the vehicles most likely to have had an inverter to power that
VCR back in the 1980s.

Interesting tech though. I'm guessing it used the same mini tubes that
early video tape home movie cameras had in their eye pieces.
