I'd say it is the word "market" that is key.

Linux does not have a market. It doesn't seek to make money. It doesn't
need money.

Now, a lot of us have managed to make money using and building on linux.
Great! A lot of us have managed to enjoy our computers using linux.
Great!

If linux doesn't do that to you, no problem. Maybe there's something
else out there that makes your life easier.
